Worth it
One of the best stones, highly recommended. This took a while to arrive but really considering the distance it traveled, and the current situation, and finally the great customer service I received from the seller, I think that this is a stone worth waiting for.

Very basic starter stone
It's an ok stone, doesn't sharpen as well as I thought would from a Naniwa product.Arrived slightly chipped.

As expected
Arrived on time. Nice and thick so it should last well. Complete with plastic holding platform. A small chip on one side but nothing to worry about. One knife and seems to do the job.

Ceramic?
Ive edited this review.I think this stone is terrible. It leaves a glaze of residual carbon from the knife being sharpened (black marks) on the surface which you need constantly abrade away to keep it effective. See photo (bottom stone). Perhaps theres a paste to be used with it im unaware of. I’ve used a king brand stone for years and its night and day, with the KS, it’s obvious the designer zero’d onto the optimal attributes - The KS releases more slurry (with no amendments) when in use. This mitigates the carbon glaze.Honestly this stone feels like using a block of plastic in comparison. It may be in fact ceramic in which case a sold separately paste I’ve read would be required. No mention of this in the description however.Im going to buy a new king stone. I regretfully bought this one to try.Edit: I believe the glaze may be caused by fat/grease (from kitchen) it seems to go away after enough use, a fine grit wet-o-dry sandpaper works wonders. I still feel the KS stone is superior though.

Quality of stone is great, the original packaging (not the one by Amazon) allows the stone to move around and has chipped two corners. Doesn't affect stone though

Ottimo prodotto.
