Worked well
Decent fixture, seems to be holding up well

Same light with fewer fixtures
8 foot fluorescent tubes were the standard for most commercial locations because they were the most efficient use of space. But most LED fixtures are only 4 ft, which requires double the number of fixtures for a given amount of light. It’s good to see the market catching up to the need.

Wouldn't go to 5000K
I ordered this 8' 2 pack for work and niether fixture would go to 5000K.Fixture just wouldn't work, when I left it in 4000K it lit right up. I had already installed for an inspection and will just leave mounted. Probably won't order these again in the future.

Quality lights, Installation was a fast and easy.
Review: Kadision 8FT LED Vapor Tight Lights, 10400LM 5000K Dimmable Vapor Proof LED Light Fixture for Car Washes, Cold Storage Areas, Parking Garages, ETL Listed (2 Pack)Got fed up with the poor quality ‘deformable’ screw in shop/garage lights. I’ve replaced 6 of them in my shop over the past couple of years. Four of them just stopped working but the latest ones actually fell apart and came crashing down onto my cars. Fortunately they fell on the windshield and surprisingly there was no damage but certainly didn’t want to keep taking my chances with them. So, I decided to try these lights instead. Installation was fast and simple. One thing to note is that these are 0-10V dimmable which if you’re not familiar, requires dedicated wiring to a dimmer control. Various 0 -10V dimmers are available including integrated wall switches but separate wires need to be run so they’re mostly used in new construction; however, other solutions are available. Currently, I have a smart switch installed but unfortunately these LEDs buzz when I turn on the lights despite having the dimming feature locked at 100%. Strangely if I tap the ‘brighter’ button a couple of times the buzzing stops. While annoying to have to do so, it’s a work around until I change the switch or figure out something else. Anyway these lights were easy to install and look very nice in my shop. All in all, I really like the color and brightness of these lights and would recommend.

Okay light, but many others to compare
There are a lot more LED light fixtures out there today than in the past. I installed fluorescent lights in my garage back in 2009, 1 8-foot light and 2 4-foot ones. I decided to try this to replace one of the 4-foot fluorescent lights. The materials of this felt pretty cheap, I do not believe it's metal, it feels like it's all made out of plastic. That does make it light, which is probably a good thing considering how it mounts, which I ended up not being much of a fan of. My old lights were metal fixtures, and the assembly simply screwed directly into the ceiling from the bottom up. These lights use the bracket included in the photos, which is nearly identical to how my vertical blinds are installed. Essentially, it is 3 metal clips that hook around a dovetail type mount, and they give you one screw to then tighten the clip around the dovetail at the end, which is probably good security, because if someone hit it with a ball or something it could theoretically fall down if it didn't have this, although I don't think so because the 3 clips in unison were relatively solid. However, this type of mount means the light isn't flush against the ceiling like the old fixtures, it essentially "hangs" on these brackets a few millimeters down from the ceiling, which looks a little uglier if you pay attention. One thing this advertises is vapor proof and mentions for use even in car washes. In this respect, plastic may be the good choice because it can't rust. But, your customization ability is severely hampered. There are some plastic knockouts on this for wiring, two on the sides of either end and one on the bottom, but there is already one knocked out on the side. If for some reason you wanted to wire something in from the back, you would then have to figure out how to fill in this hole they already made on the side. On top of that, when I went to wire the light on a daisy-chain from my previous 8-ft. fluorescent light through this pre-made knockout, it was very difficult to attach it to the wiring harness and then put the plastic end-cap back on. The wiring harness is at the end with the hole in it, and there is little room for play with extra wiring. I had 14 gauge wiring, and the stiffness made it very hard to attach to the harness and close it, I was worried I was going to break something, but did not. This is another downside to the old fluorescent, as you essentially had the entire length of the fixture to play with wires, this light forces you to use the plastic (and flimsy feeling) harness on one of the ends. All in all, I put it in and it works. In comparison to the 4-foot fluorescent that it replaced, it seems to put out a little bit more, although the light has more of that "spotlight" effect downward rather than lighting up the entire space like a fluorescent tube, but it's not bad; it does a decent job. Also, the color tone of the light is perfect to me.Also, this entire assembly is only 94", 2-inches shy of 8-feet, which it says it is. The end caps are a couple inches each, so you only have about 90" of frosted plastic lighting. One thing this does say is it is dimmable, and has the wiring in the harness for wires (but no dimmer or anything else). If you're looking for this feature, this could justify the cost. However, if I was looking to light up a garage or shed, I may look at some of the other options out there, and I would also consider some of the lights where the lens bows out at the bottom, which may help with spreading the light out better.

Reasonably Bright, Well-Made LED Light Fixtures
I ordered this two-pack of 8-foot LED lights to put in our two-car garage, and they light up the whole garage quite nicely. We like them a lot.Installation was straightforward and simple, and only took me a total of about 45-minutes to install both lights. Now, with that said, even though the two lights light up the garage pretty well, they do not light up the space brightly. Which will very likely be just fine for most people. However, if you do a lot of work in your garage, to be honest, I do believe there’s a very good chance you may need additional lighting. Which, to be fair, you may be able to accomplish with some portable task lighting. OR, if it’s in your budget, an additional pair of these lights. If you have any questions about these Kadision LED light fixtures, please feel free to ask, and I'll try my best to answer. I hope you found this review helpful.
