Magic vacACO1066 Cling Film Roll 20 x 600 cm

Always happy with this product, ideal for the machine I own. This was slightly smaller than I usually use, but a lot more economical because I make up smaller portions, therefore don't have to throw extra ingredients away. We always over estimate our portion sizes and this is keeping me in line with what is a normal portion.

Work really well with the Magic Vac Maxima 2. I also tried out some really cheap "embossed" bags (~42p/m), but the Maxima tends to squeeze those so tightly it can't extract the air. The cheap embossed bags are just pressed flat sheets, while these original Magic Vac bag/rolls have moulded grooves than can't be easily squashed. As a big tip, buy these Magic Vac rolls on the Italian Amazon site at about half the price found here. If you buy quite a few, it keeps the delivery price per unit down and brings the price per meter not that far from the cheap embossed versions (~65p/m). It's still a premium of about 50%, but the quality difference is well worth it. You can sous vide with these Magic Vacs, you can't sous vide with the cheap bags.By the way, I managed to get the cheap bags to work by cutting a very small strip of the ribbed side of the Magic Vac rolls and inserting that strip into the cheap bag right where the Maxima presses down. Once sealed, you have to cut away the loose part of the strip and seal above it (as the seal around the triple layer isn't always 100%). Yes it works, and is certainly the cheapest way to vac pac, but a bit of a faff, hence why I'd recommend to just pay a little premium for the original Magic Vac rolls.Be sure to cut the bags long, about 40cm, and reuse. If reusing after "wet" use, the moulded grooves do make it a little hard to wash these for reuse, but it is possible and obviously massively reduces the on cost.
