For what seems like years I considered getting this and finally I splurged on myself because I'm worth it! ;) The experience of this shampoo is luxurious. You only need about a teaspoon of the salt paste applied to your hair and scalp. Just make sure your hair is wet first. What I noticed most about this right after I got out of the shower was how clean and refreshed my scalp was. Normally my scalp has been a little itchy lately and today I'm feeling total calm and no itching! When I feel my hair now that it is all dry I can sense the softness and I notice more body and fullness to my fine hair. This product does not weight down hair, but rather lightens it as it removes product build up. And if you use mousse or gel you will appreciate that aspect of this cleansing shampoo. Since you only need to use so little this is a good value! I love Goop products and can also recommend the lip balm which is so wonderful. I just got more! The scent of this salt scrub is also more like essential oils - it is not that strong but you can definitely tell there are essential oils in this! So a high-quality product. I'm happy I finally tried it and will get it again. But one container is going to last a while!!! You only are supposed to use it every three or so shampoos but I can see myself using it even more often because it is so fun to use. ~The Rebecca Review P.S. This is pricey but wow, it’s an amazing product. You only need a tiny amount and will get a solid lather from it. And I have a lot of hair! It does a wonderful job of cleaning the hair without leaving it feeling stripped. My daughter and I steal it/share it, so it’s great for all ages. Can’t recommend enough!

Oh, how much do I love thee goop Beauty Scalp Scrub Shampoo? Let me count the ways. In all seriousness, a good friend turned me on to this scalp exfoliator and I LOVE it. The smell is wonderful; it leaves my scalp and hair feeling clean and refreshed; and most importantly, it helps with my dry, itchy, and flaky scalp since I only wash my hair about once a week. Yes, I am that lazy. This scrub is highly effective, and I highly recommend it.

Love this scrub! This leaves my hair so soft and my scalp so clean. I will caution you though. Just put a little on your fingertips to start. Once you start massaging it into your hair, it really gets sudsy. It keeps changing my original word. I have soft water so it is hard to rinse all the lather out. You can always add more if you need it, but I never have. This jar will last me a long time.

I’ve been buying this for years, and a tub lasts quite a while too. I use this once a week, and it really give my fine hair some bounce & body. It lathers up really well in the shower. Scent isn’t irritating, just clean.

I’ve been using goop’s Himalayan Salt Scalp Scrub Shampoo and feel like I’m enjoying a mini spa treatment for my scalp with each use. As the directions say, I use it about every third wash. The whipped texture is luxurious yet gritty enough from the salt crystals to give a real exfoliating effect, without being harsh. The salt does a great job of clarifying and detoxing - it clears away buildup, oil, and impurities, but my hair doesn’t feel stripped. I would repurchase - also as it contains clean ingredients and is nice and thick making it easy to use.

I’m obsessed. I didn’t realize how much product buildup my regular shampoo was causing until I tried this scrub. The texture is thick but foams amazingly once you add water, and the tiny exfoliating particles give the most satisfying deep clean without feeling harsh or scratchy.

Really help reducing my scalp dryness when season changes.
