Lovely looking letterbox - just as expected. Good size - reasonable thickness so should fit most mail (and a few weeks worth - or months, depending how popular you are!), however one thing to note is that due to the overhang above, the letter slot itself only opens to around 90 degrees. Seems to be good quality - no issues in the few weeks it has been in use.

Good letter box but expensive compared to others

This is the second Burg-Wächter wall-mounted post box we’ve purchased from Amazon in the past eight years. Compared to the previous model, this latest version represents a significant improvement in both design and build quality.Burg-Wächter has clearly refined nearly every aspect of the post box. The galvanised steel is noticeably thicker and more robust, and the upgraded lock feels much more secure. The outward-opening letter flap offers excellent weather protection, keeping mail dry even in heavy rain. Additionally, the narrow post slot is a clever feature that enhances security by making it difficult to remove letters once posted.Aesthetically, the new model is more stylish, featuring a smart embossed design and a nameplate window for added practicality. The only downside is that the mounting holes do not align with those of the previous model, so some re-drilling may be necessary during installation. However, this is a minor inconvenience considering the overall quality.Overall, this post box offers excellent value for money. It’s well-constructed, weatherproof, and provides reliable protection and security for your mail.

Good value for the money.The size is generous and accessibility is easy. They supplied the screws but l used my raw plugs and longer screws as l felt it was more secure. but the finish and looks are very pleasing to the eye. Yes I'm very happy with my purchase.

Lovely quality and looks amazing once up

This wonderfully made letterbox was purchased so mum did not have to bend over to pick up the post as she struggles with that at times.She loves green as you may have guessed and it fits in with the house and its surroundings perfectly. Mum was over the moon with it. Very secure and weatherproof, well made and worth the money. I first saw this item in a certain screw sales shop but this was cheaper by far.You may need to have someone to hold it up whilst you mark the holes from the inside, the top two holes are a tad awkward to get in and mark as I have "large scaffie hands" according to mum (she is Scottish) but that aside I managed to mark them ok. It does have the dimensions on the box so you could draw them out if needed too. I put the plastic bungs in first and partly screwed the screws first then offered it up in place before screwing the in place and that is probably the easiest way too do it. So mum is very happy and that’s all that counts. I am sure you will be too, shame she would rather the green than red but so be it.

I like the look and quality of the letter box. Post stays dry. It's also good value for money. But I'm afraid the keys are very weak I struggle to open the lock. I fear I am going to break them at some point.
