Definitely not a baby scarf, is too big even for a five year old. I bought two, one for my two year old and one for my five year old, when they’re wearing them there’s huge gap between the top of their heads and the hat, and it slides back easily it’s maybe suited better for ages 7 and up. The pockets are a good idea, but if your kid moves and raises their hands the hat moves and ends up covering half of their face.

Some people who have reviewed this product suggest that it's too large for a kid, however I found it is a perfect fit for a 3 year old. One arm is shorter than the other so that when you wrap one arm around as a scarf, both arms turn out to be the same length. Lots of initial loose fuzz on the product, but is good quality. The ears stand up nicely. Super cute, comes in a nice bag for gifting.

Fuzzy and adorable. Fits my 5 yo and will probably last her a couple more years if she treats it right. Gotta have to say, one arm is longer than the other so that it is the same length when the longer side is wrapped.

It fit my 6 and 4 year old perfect.
