Great size. Made well
Great size. Made well. Was given as a gift and the receiver was thrilled. Exactly what she wanted. I was very impressed with the backpack!

Well worth the money for this average backpack...
This backpack at first glance looks well-made. IMO, one of the most important part of a good hiking pack are the shoulder harness (straps). It has reinforcement underneath with back-up stitchings. It has very good breathable mesh paddings for the shoulder, a tensioned mesh back panel suspension system (for airflow), side compression straps, good over-all adjustability to make carrying comfortable, average water resistance material used all around, at least a water bottle side pocket (this one has two), plus a rain cover. For me, these are the basics worth paying at this price range. And this pack has it, plus being comparatively light in weight, they gave a 2 year warranty. How good this warranty holds up remains to be seen. But I can't help getting the impression of the hyped-up commercialization of this pack. The zippers are the usual plastic zippers. Slap in an impressionable name "STORMPAK", with a brand associating it with a mountain lion's name is psychology at its best. If one looks closely, where the shoulder straps are attached to the upper body, they did put in the rudimentary stitchings but not all through the whole length where it joins the main body. The lower part of the shoulder harness isn't double stitched, nor I can't find anything from the inside. If you are looking for internal pockets for organization, this isn't the pack for you, albeit a savings on cost and weight. 600D fabric ("D" stands for "Denier" --a unit of measurement describing the linear mass density of the material, calculated by the mass in grams of a single 9,000 meter strand)...Denier is a good measure of strength and durability when you're comparing two deniers of the same material. For example, a 400D nylon bag is not as strong as a 600D nylon bag. But when you are comparing two different materials such as nylon and polyester, all deniers are not equal. Since nylon is a far stronger material than polyester, 420D nylon is actually stronger than 600D polyester. About 89% of these Diamond 600d Ripstops are 100% polyester fabric. Even though these fabrics are woven together very tightly, water is still very very small, hence the provided ""free" 100% WATER PROOF rain cover in the base of the pack."Overall, this is a good to average pack, well worth the money. Not a "Granite Gear" nor a "Mammut" (which the seller never claimed it to be) by any stretch, but average for the money.

It's OK
Quality is OK. I have worn it on a couple of walks, and my back hurts a little. Still trying to figure out whether to keep it. Also, a bit small for backpacking.
