Miguel and the Amazing Alebrijes (Disney/Pixar Coco) (Pictureback(R)) Paperback – Sticker Book, October 10, 2017

In this beautifully illustrated story, Miguel finds inspiration from Santa Cecilia and from his family to complete a school project. His teacher explains the origins of alebrijes as she instructs students to create paper mache versions. The story concludes with Miguel giving his handmade alebrijes to his family members. I love that this a new story, not simply a retelling of the story from the movie. The book maintains the loving family connections portrayed in the movie and includes Spanish vocabulary. My daughter loves the punch out alebrijes and the stickers. For such a great price, we also got these as favors for her Coco themed birthday party.

My son became obsessed with coco and when I came across this, had to buy it. He loves it. The story is sweet and meaningful. The drawings are great and the stickers are awesome! I even wanted to keep a few for myself

I work as an educator at a zoo and I bought this book to teach Alebrijes to the 6-7 year olds in my art camp. It was perfect! I love that Miguel is tasked with finding animals that inspire him before making his own Alebrijes - it was the exact project I had in mind for the camp and the kids made some really lovely sculptures.

This book is a wonderful way to learn a little more about Miguel’s world. Beautiful illustrations and well written- it’s fun to read and my 5 year old loves it.

Great strory. My 3 yr old loves it, the stickers are fun as well! She likes being read to and also loves 'reading' it herself since she's kinda memorized certain parts and/or can see what's happening by looking at the pictures.

I had to buy this book and support a local artist after watching Cocoa. I was curious where Disney found their inspiration and love reading the original version to my son. I also bought one as a gift for my nephews. The book will also expose your children to Spanish.

I liked that this was different than the original Coco story. It opens with a class assignment, and Miguel's own search for alebrijes. He interviews his family and finds out which animals calls to them. This is a great way to introduce the concepts, culture, and amazing artwork. So far, the kids in my workshops have loved this addition!

My 2.5 year old lives this story. A great story that isn't just a repeat of the CoCo movie. Vivid pictures & the stickers on the back of the book are a cute bonus.
