Zenbroidery Cord 105 Skein Embroidery Kit, Cotton

I bought this without really thinking about just how much thread there was - there is a LOT of embroidery thread here. I bought this with two of the printed Zenbroidery fabrics, and when it arrived I expected the skeins to be like the multi-strand skeins you get from the likes of Anchor and DMC, which it isn't (so, something to be aware of if you're not buying to use with the Zenbroidery kits). This takes away any question of how many strands you should be using for your pattern, and any problems with getting them to lay flat or stopping them twisting - all of which I've experienced with cross-stitch and expected to encounter with this. I've only done a small amount of embroidery with these, but the threads are great quality and a pleasure to use.

I got a zenbroidery cloth for christmas, and while I had started with silks, I saw these and thought theyd be a good alternative. You dont split them like you do with embroidery silks, meaning the stitches are much larger, so great for sampling new stitches and techniques or for the young or clumsy! I found it a bit odd that there are no grey shades, but I’ll just work round that, it wasnt a problem or what I needed. I dont know if I will use the beads and sequins, but they’re nice to have for some extra flourises, and its a great price even without them.
