WAY better than traditional belt buckles
I've been using these "ratchet" belt buckles for a few years now. They must be used with the corresponding belts - but there are no holes in the belt - and there isn't any traditional "pin" to tear through the belt. Instead, the ratchet grabs the belt - and is widely adjustable without having to poke holes. In this case, one of my buckles finally broke (it lost a knob which held the "releasing lever" in place) so I just bought a new buckle. Works great. Looks great. And on I go for another 5 years or so.

Does NOT work with nylon web belt
I gave it 5 stars because it seems to be good quality.BUT it does not work with my nylon web belts. The ad does mention leather and maybe it would work with a thicker nylon.Had to return.

Beware
I like the overall design of this buckle, however (and it's a BIG however), the buckle fails horribly as the prong isn't round. The prong is irregularly shaped, which causes it to stretch and deform the holes in the actual belt if you have it tight. This causes the belt material (I tried it on a man-made material AND a leather belt) to "pucker". When you try to release the buckle it won't. I had to force the pants/shorts I was wearing down over my hips with the belt still holding, then only by pushing on the puckered belt from underneath could I get it to release.

Ratchet belt brands.
I love these ratchet belts. What I learned from this order was that all the buckle brands, even the ones that are not solid, are interchangeable. Do not buy the solid colors. They scratch off.

Works very well for the belts I wear.
I like the "infinite" fit possibilities. I've gotten away from belts, with "pre-punched" holes, for settings that do not always meet my needs. "Too much", or "Not quite right."I find that is aggravating.
