101 Animals Coloring book Vol. 1: Great Gift for Boys & Girls Ages 4-8, 4-10, or Adults looking for Relaxation / Stress-Relief

I love animals, so I really like the designs in this coloring book. I would rank this maybe a 4.5 instead of a 5 stars only because of the paper used in it, which is ok, but not overly pencil-specific in texture. But that keeps the cost down, too. Also, a lot of the designs have gray scale in them, which won’t show up if you use opaque, waxy pencils (like Prismacolor). But pencils that are oil based or oil and wax blends are fine.So what I really like a lot are the very many different animals included (101!), all are only on one side of the page, the English and Latin animal names are included, the level of tiny detail is very moderate, so coloring is more detailed than kids’ only books but not to the J. Basford level of tiny details, and it’s fun coloring realistic animals, birds and a few insects that you don’t usually see in a coloring book. Enjoyable, even if the paper isn’t the highest grade for colored pencils.

This is a nice thick coloring book.Price was great for the amount of pictures there is. Was shipped quickly with my order and arrived in excellent condition.The paper is actually very nice to color on with crayons.My disabled son seems to like it.One thing I noticed though is, the outer edge of the pictures seems cut off, like photocopies sometime do. Because this isn’t a “printout” page I expected the design to fade to the edges, not have a clear line at end of picture (I’ll add a photo later on to show if I have a chance to update).There’s quite a bit of detail in each picture (we did the first one which is a bear), but it creates shading and I was hoping for more of a clear picture to color.We will try to watercolor, and paint on other pictures to see how the paper holds up to it; but we’ll first try coloring pencils next, then paints.It’s paper bound so no spiral to rip out , meaning you can color right in the book without the pages ripping off.Although I might later use a binder and start collecting each colored page in it, either via sheet protectors or punching holes on the side. It’ll depend how it works once we’re a few or several pages into it.So far I’m pleased with it, so is my son.

I love this collection of images and they are just lovely to color with colored pencils. The weight of the paper is good quality. I was impressed by the quality. I am still using this and it will last a long time. Lots of pages.

Good pictures.

Most of the pictures are very nice. Most are pictures of animals that have been edited and changed to black and white for coloring. Yes, I also wish the leopard and other animal didn't have 5 legs. Also the pictures that are drawings are poor, but there are not a lot of those. Whoever edited the pictures could not tell what was what and did not review after editing. I think if it had been checked it would have been seen. With all that overall I like the book.

I love to color and I was looking for a cute new coloring book I'm so happy I found it. The designs are completely beautiful, and it has a wide variety of animals, going from koalas to jellyfish. I like the fact that the book also tells you the scientific name of the animals.The pages are very thick and the ink doesn't leak through when I use markers to color in, which is a must for me. I love to use watercolor markers and those can leak through very easily if the pages are not thick enough.I got this book a week ago and it looks really nice! I'm very pleased with my purchase. I'll definitely buy another coloring book from this seller.

This coloring book is everything I was looking for. I am a disabled senior (61 years, with a mobility/pain disability since early childhood). Because of the pain and movement issues, I can't do much, and don't feel like doing much most of the time anyway, but COLORING has always been a favorite past-time, along with reading. No matter that I'm an "old" lady in my early 60's.....I'm going to color until God takes me Home! This coloring book makes coloring easy, as the animal images are large enough, and there aren't a ton of super-tiny spaces to be colored in. I need this, larger images-type coloring pages/books, and this one is one of the best I've ever found! My only question is, it says "Volume 1". I can't seem to find Volume 2 anywhere online. Can you tell me please, where do I find the 2nd volume?? I just LOVE the subject matter of this book, so I'm praying I can find and purchase the 2nd volume, before I run out of pages to color in Volume 1 !! Thank you, and God Bless! Awesome colouring book bought for a gift

Er is geen afbeelding die klopt. Op het eerste gezicht mooie plaatjes, maar als je goed kijkt, klopt er niks van. Dieren hebben rare staarten, teveel tenen of poten of lijken in de aarde te zitten in plaats van erop. Helaas zag ik dit te laat, anders had ik het boek teruggestuurd. Kijk zelf maar hoe het zit met de achterpoten van de jaguar..
