Delaminating of pieces which are all stuck together
I recently purchased this beautiful Disney Thomas Kinkade jigsaw for myself during my convalescent period. I was pleased with the thickness of the pieces so thought it was going to be of nice quality. What I have been disappointed at is how easy the picture lifts from the base. There are so many pieces stuck together and when I try to part them carefully the ends are splitting and the picture paper lifts from the piece. I don’t feel the jigsaw was cheap. It is the first time I’ve bought a Schmidt jigsaw puzzle as I prefer Gibsons. If other companies do not have this issue then I am of the opinion that Schmidt jigsaws should not lift either. Quite disappointed actually.

Only fault, lots of pieces stuck together, separating when gently easing apart.
Good puzzle, took a while to crack the edges as it's all the same. Lots off pieces stuck together and when gently easing apart, the pieces were splitting. I would recommend though.

Good Value
Bought as Christmas present for friend who likes jigsaws with lots of pieces. As soon as I saw the name Thomas Kinkade I knew this would be special. It has a very intricate design and I'm sure my friend will enjoy spending hours piecing it together.

Brilliant
I have been on this puzzle for 1 month, still not completed as you have to have so much patience with it, but it's such a sense of achievement when you make the circles up. I started with the circles as I find it's easier to do. Fantastic puzzle and great quality.

Will make you pull out your hair with frustration
Thomas Kinkade is one of the best illustrators out there, and we own a couple of the Disney pieces, as those are my favourites. However, when it comes to the jigsaws, while they come out absolutely visually stunning, they are one of the most frustrating jigsaws around. The best thing to do with this particular jigsaw is to split it into sections. The outer edge is considerably time consuming, but once you find your rhythm, you'll be fine. The best way that we found of doing this, was to sort each piece into segments - I don't know the exact terms but pieces which were innies went in one pile, pieces that had an innie and an outie went in the next pile and so on. As we were doing this between myself and my parents (it was my mum's jigsaw), once we had finished with a pile, we passed it onto the next person, and continued to pass the piles around, until the outer edge was done. You can then split up the jigsaw further - I had post it notes where each scene went, so Cinderella in the middle, the Mickeys/Minnies to each corner and so forth. This helped us figure out the rough areas we needed for each character. We ignored the fact that there were circles around each one, and these got moved into a separate box, until we were ready for them, as otherwise it was quite confusing.I've always said that the amount of detail that is included in Thomas Kinkade pictures is outstanding, and this is the same, although I did find some of the more finer details quite hard to place. I am also positive I found Gus from Cinderella, in both the Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty scenes! There are a lot of small characters scattered around both of these scenes, and minor details, which makes it a struggle to complete these particular parts of the jigsaw. The pieces do join in quite well, and there were no pieces missing in my puzzle, thankfully! You will need to set aside some time to complete this, as it is 2000 pieces. This took us about 10 days to complete, while on lockdown in the UK, and is quite easy once you follow the steps above, which will make it easier. If you fancy a challenge, this is it.
