Birthday present for my 24 year old son who is a massive fan of the movies and Giger.Couldn't get it in Australia (sold out) so ordered it from UK.Very happy that it arrived with plenty of time to spare, it's a quality item and he was blown away by it.Especially after the tragic of Giger a few months ago, this book means so much to him.You can see Giger's hand written notes and drawings produced whilst developing the Alien.Also great photography and of course an English translation.After showing the book off on Facebook, he made a lot of people jealous and his friends agreed that it is an awesome present.My son will treasure this item.

Well the price of this thing might put some off but don't however unless your a massive alien fan this book might be beyond your interest as it's extremely detailed and wonderfully translated and transposed day to day runnings of the production from Giger's perspective.The selling the story of production from Day 0 to the bitter end, some fantastic information in here that I won't detail because it's what make this book !If you like to know every last detail it's all here and is THE BOOK for Fans and an awesome coffee table book to dip in and out.Not to be missed !!!!

The edition reproduces two HR Giger diaries from the first Alien movie production photographically, including his notes, sketches and still photographs, and the transcribed texts in both the original German and English translation. It is a gem of a book for Giger fans. Unfortunately the suggested retail price is high (110 euros) but you will come across better offers now and then. Mind you the book is much bigger than it looks and very thick. The beautiful cover can stain from dirty fingers...

Smaller than A4 Size, 660 pages, Illustrated. H R Giger's diary notations of his stint working on the Alien Movie production at Shepperton Studios, West London 1978/79. one half of the book is in German and the other half has the English translation and makes for interesting reading for someone who is experiencing his 1st journey into Hollywood productions, the day to day hassles, triumphs and soul searching are all in this tome as well as his production notes on his Alien Monsters and set designs. a worthy addition to the Alien Movie fan's Library and collection.

Great book which beautifully shows the genius of Giger during his work on the iconic movie. A great addition to my collection of Giger books etc.

As an Alien (the film series) fan, my son loved this book.
