Geist. Aniline Leather Care | for Aniline & semi-Aniline Furniture, Jacket, Bag and Accessories (Care Kit)

I used this product on a 6-year old leather couch with beautiful results. The leather is noticeably softer with a low luster sheen. There aren't many products I could find specifically formulated for aniline so was glad to find this Geist product. Wipe it on and buff it off. Highly recommended.

With 2 rowdy toddlers who call my leather chair the “climbing chair” it’s an understatement to say the leather was scuffed up. I was afraid that my most expensive piece of furniture was ruined after only 2 years of ownership. Enter: Geist aniline leather care kit. With a few minutes of care my chair looks brand new. It’s like a miracle kit. There were some spots of ballpoint pen that didn’t come out completely but every scuff and scratch is totally gone. The oily spots on the arms from hands and dirty boy feet look like they’ve never even been touched they are so clean. I am confident that this chair will last a very long time thanks to Geist.

This kit works well on Aniline leather. Unfortunately, if you want to do an entire sectional you’ll need to buy two kits. Be aware: not all stains will be removed. That’s leather for you. I found the bending technique suggested on the box does work on certain grime that may be on your leather. Also, wear gloves when applying the cream unless you enjoy hours of sticky hands. After a day my sectional looks good and healthy. It does not look like new. It’s clean and no longer dry looking. Some of the filth has been removed while other, more soaked in stains, seem to have faded slightly. Not a fast process.

I got the Geist leather care kit. It includes a spray bottle of cleaner, a bottle of “cream”, 2 soft cloths, and 2 sponges. The packaging is well done, professional, and adequately thick. The bottles are a decent size but not huge. The cream is actually a liquid. Not sure why it’s called that.As you can see in the pictures, I tested this first on a leather key fob piece. There’s mild improvement. The cleaner took off a bit of gunk that had been on there awhile. It wasn’t the most impressive product I’ve used though. While there’s no harsh chemicals, which I like, I’m unsure about the efficacy of the “plant and algae” ingredients. I wish the cream was one.I’d recommend this product for regular leather care not a magic makeover for a soiled coach etc after many years. This did a little better on my car’s interior however I probably wouldn’t search it out again in the future due to the high price point and the fact that there’s much better products out there.

I used this kit on my black leather furniture, so the results aren't as visible as they would be on lighter colors, but I'm very pleased with how the material has become more supple and shiny!! my new 2-step leather cleaner works well to clean and then condition my leather recliner, loveseat and couch. The cleaning step is easy to do with the provided sponge, and I can see the leather getting cleaner and looking better as I proceed. The conditioning step is equally easy to do, and I can definately see the luster in my leather furnature start to come out as I go along, which I like. My leather furnature looks really beautiful after doing this system, my wife has been impressed, and i am very satisfied with the results. The liquids have only a faint chemical odor, which does not bother me, but the liquids, i think worse for the conditioner, do leave a sticky feel on my hands and I do suggest wearing disposable gloves when handling. overall, I really like this clean/condition system and recommend it.

Leaves the leather slippery for several days. I was sliding out of my chair.
