Works surprisingly effectively
So don’t really know much about skin care products. I haven’t really worn make up so my skin care routine was a basic face cream. I have been fortunate that my skin has always been non problematic. When perimenopause and menopause started I noticed my skin aged more quickly, a few more wrinkles and lines and my skin felt a bit duller and aged, especially that crepe paper appearance sound my neck. I had tried a cheap version of this type of product with no effects so decided to give this lower mid price very a try. I am impressed my neck has lost the crepe paper appearance, my skin feels firmer and less dull. The serum absorbed quickly, and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It has a pleasant smell and I haven’t had any adverse reactions to it. I feel subjectively me skin is improved and to be honest alongside the visible improvement on my neck I am taking it as a win. I will continue to use the serum, perhaps a more expensive version would be even better but this one is what is affordable to me. I would say if you can afford it give it a go it might work for you.

Good enough but early days
This is quite a good pure Vit C serum for tighter budgets (currently can get this for 15 quid) and I'm not sure that I can get another high strength (10-20%) pure L Ascorbic Acid for the same price point in the UK. I'm using mine for prevention as opposed to cure, so for delaying further oxidative stress. I have the initial signs of aging - fine lines and hyperpigmentation on forehead, cheeks, nose. Nothing too bad and since Vitamin C is such a holy grail preservative, I had to find a way to get it into my daily regimen! Many are dismayed by the oxidation but I was quite careful to use mine up quickly. I was amazed that I could use this in 7 weeks! Although, admittedly, I was quite generous on the face (2x a day - using this twice is better than once, they've said) and used some to treat the back of hands exposed to sun. Anyway, in those 7 weeks, it went from transparent to only very slight pale orange. That's not bad at all. I stored mine in the fridge at all times and used it out of direct sunlight or room lights in shade, ie. opening it up under my bathroom cabinet. (A tip - only pump so much into the pipette as you'll need for one usage. Gets easier to gauge with time.) I can't comment on its anti aging effects as much as how it was to use. I've bought a few more bottles to test so will update in 6 months time. To be brief, my forehead fine lines have not worsened, and my sunspot freckles have faded slightly. Unfortunately it's fragranced and very strong too if you're not used to it. (Can't pinpoint it but it's not unpleasant and definitely not a natural fragrance.) I got used to it but I'd love this fragrance free! (Hint hint, L'Oréal.) Apart from fragrance, it has a stickiness to it but that's not a huge issue. You'll use other stuff on top of it so not a problem. Mine didn't oxidise much so I can't comment on it staining my skin or sheets. This, or another effective Vit C, is a must for daytime under sunscreen especially in summer, and I felt more confident with this on. I'll even use this at night in lieu of retinol. The derms talks about how innovative this formula is with stabilising salicylic acid and a higher than usual PH formulation of 6 which is rule breaking for Vit C. Whatever the case for the average user, like me, I am enjoying it very much. I have good normal skin with a slight T zone, and it has not irritated my skin in the slightest (but I don't have many irritating actives in my skincare.) On the salicylic acid, the derms have said that this would suit acne or oily skin the best. (Hence might not be suitable for dry skins because of this BHA.) As for effects on pore size, unfortunately I can't comment because my pores aren't noticeable. If you're seeking something for established wrinkles, you'd be better off using retinol for this because Vit C is mainly a preservative. Please note it can sting on open wounds or sores so only use on unbroken skin. Overall, it's not expensive (I can't afford to buy Skinceuticals CE Ferulic!). I'm generous with 4 stars but let's see. I'm hoping it'll prove effective (delay ageing) in the long term - I'll know because I won't have aged massively in the interim! 😊

Morning skincare
I enjoy this serum. It’s part of my morning skincare routine and I follow with a SPF 50.

Buy regularly
I buy this regularly and use a part of my morning routine. It doesn't irritate my skin and seems to brighten the skin. I like it and will continue to use. Just make sure to close tightly as it oxidises. If it turns from clear to orange it's time to bin and replace. Only lasts a month so I tend to bin some. Wish it came in a smaller container so less waste

Nice serum but minimal effects
Pros were that it had a nice smell and my skin felt soft and hydrated after cleansing. However, I expected to see better brightening effects but had the same results as a Garnier vitamin c serum bought for a third of the price. It also seemed to oxidise after a few weeks despite being kept in the fridge so not sure if that made it less effective.

Orange face at times
I did notice an improvement to skin whilst using this consistently for a prolonged period of time. Initially purchased due to the high concentration and good reviews. The only thing that was difficult to work with was that if the skin is dry when putting this on, and therefore some resistance to rubbing this is, it could leave an orange residue on the face. I found having a slightly damp or freshly washed face helped with this.

Brighter skin I feel using with the ordinary glycolic toner gives clear skin

Lo he usado un par de meses, huele bien y se absorbe rápido en la piel. Por desgracia, no he notado ningún resultado visible después de un uso seguido de dos meses. Lo he dejado.

The serum is brown. Useless oxidized product.
