Super fun game! Easy Set up and easy directions to follow. Great game night idea.

So much fun! We had eight people and the game was for eight people. Perfect, except five guys, three gals, so our son played the part of a female. Like I said, so much fun!

I’ve hosted murder mystery parties 3 times now and this was my first time using a game from this maker. i was really stoked because i do a lot of prep up front for the games and the plot, setting, characters, and multiple subplots of this one were really promising. however, upon actually playing the game it fell apart because there is A LOT of reading and it was impossible for everyone to keep up. i kept having to do a timeout for people to catch up in their booklets and this was even after giving the guests their booklets to read backstory and round 1 info ahead of time. obviously if you are very strict about game structure then some of this could be avoided, but in reality we were hosting a dinner party and it gets complicated. i think a lot of this could have been avoided by heavy editing and better structure of the game text. it seems to have been written in german and then translated so there were several typos and repetitive statements that led to confusion. i think if the maker had edited all the text down and done better structuring (“emphasize THIS, hide THIS”) instead of writing in longform paragraphs.i do a lot of work up front and will consider buying another game and just editing the booklets myself but that’s not a task for the weak, lol.

This game is fun, but it requires a lot of reading on everyone's part. It can get out of hand, and a lot of refocusing occurs. However - it was still a lot of fun! Everyone had a good time.

We played with 6 people and it went great even with only a couple days to plan everyone pulled together a costume. Somehow everyone in our group got just the perfect character assignment. The clues kept us going all the way until the end. Several of us did guess the correct person as the murderer but even then we weren't certain until we read the reveal. It was well done. Would love to do another one.

I'm very impressed with this murder mystery dinner game. It includes the name cards for all your guests' characters, the character booklets, the clue envelopes, and the host's guide. Let me being by saying that the instructions for how to prepare the whole thing are very well explained, down to how to structure the evening, where to obtain free .pdfs to email your guests prior to the event, name tags, links to recipes (it's a dinner party!), when to give out the clue envelopes, etc. And if by chance something is missing from the box (everything was in mine) it tells you where you can download a copy of it that you can print at home.It even explains how to spur conversation among the guests, how to prompt them to stay in character and ask the right questions, how to get them to divulge the relevant information for the event, etc. The character booklets explain to each guest how to play the role of their character, with background information on each one.The instructions tell you what to read, and when to stop to avoid revealing spoilers.The host also plays one of the characters and doesn't know how the murderer is, so don't spoil the fun by reading the solution before the event!It is truly a remarkable kit, and will make your murder mystery event a memorable experience for you and your guests!

This Murder Mystery was a ton of fun to play with our friends, especially as a group who is very comfortable with each other and who really leaned into making it a bit goofy and fun. We played with 6 actors and all six of them were given great backstories and allowed us to really dive into our characters. The final culprit was also a bit of a shock and only a few of us guessed it correct. What a great tool to spice up a dinner with friends or family! It would be hard to play the game again with the same group of people, so if you're going to play again you need a new crowd and the 'host' has to pretend to not know the outcome. We had a great time with the characters though and kept referring to each other by our 'murder names' all night!
