SD-1501 Electric Warm Air Dish Dryer

This arrived today, and I used it straight away. It fits a lot , I can even fit my crockpot with plenty of room to spare for other items. This unit does not have a traditional cutlery basket, it has a long ,shallow basket designed for chop sticks, but it works just as well, I'm not bothered by this.Some people have noted a plastic smell during operation, this unit does not smell at all. It is very quiet. I'm very pleased with this purchase, it is more hygienic than using dish towels to dry dishes, I should have got this years ago. I can see why new parents are raving about this product. Dishes come out completely dry and warm, stylish, more functional than traditional dish racks,easy to clean, 5 stars for hygiene, functionality and being so quiet. Plus my time can be best spent doing other things than standing drying dishes and then having to wash the dish towels after, so win,win. If you have been thinking of purchasing this product I would suggest that you seriously consider buying it, for the reasons I mentioned above. Thanks Sunpentown for such a awesome product!

We got this for two coincidental reasons: drying racks for our newborn's bottles, pump parts, etc. weren't working sufficiently to dry things, and our dishwasher broke at the same time. So while we waited for a new dishwasher and did everything by hand, having a heated dryer was great.This thing works well for what it is--it dries kitchen items with warm air. It's not a sanitizer, mind you, but we already have one of those.It's big, for sure, and for bottles, it can sometimes take the full 60 minute cycle, but it works and has a pleasant not-your-typical-countertop-appliance vibe to it.

There's an amusing negative review of this unitasker on a 'declutter your life' blog, but I bought it anyway and I like it. I'm not some sort of techie retro-grouch: my countertop dishwasher blew up after only 2 years running on the super-hard water in my home, out of warranty, 'natch. I'm back to handwashing, and a quick swish, rinse and into the dish dryer does it. I was doing virtually the same thing for the expired dishwasher as a pre-rinse on many items anyway. And hand washing with this dryer to finish is giving me far cleaner dishes.The beauty of the SD-1501 is that dishes dry quickly and beautifully, runoff is contained in a small slide out tray, and there's a clean, splatter free spot for them to stay until put away. Humid environment? No problem. It's just the ticket for summertime swamp cooler users. Priced not much above a high-end drying rack.

I love this dish dryer! After reading some of the bad reviews, I just have to see it for myself. I really wanted this for me since the townhouse that we bought didn't come with a dishwasher and I am not ready to lose my storage space just to install one. At first, I agree with some of the reviews that this is not really warm enough, was even frustrated. But then like anything that has heating element, it needs to preheat first (thanks to my oven for giving me the idea) and then VOILA, my new fave thing! This saved me losing my storage space and $$ from installing (from the scratch) of a new dishwasher.

The media could not be loaded. This would have been the second one we have purchased! The first is 3 years old and great!This one is defective and they want ME to pay to return junk to them! All I want is a machine that works!

We received this product 2 days after we ordered. The box itself is quite big but it is not as heavy as we initially thought.Everything comes in one piece and there is nothing to install.It comes with a simple set instructions. Using this appliance is quite easy. All we need to do is open the cover, which fold on itself to allow easy access to the dish try. Plug in the power and press the switch.There is only 1 switch, which turns on the fan and generate heat. Pressing the switch again will change to 20 minute and 60 minutes interval.While it is easy to operate, it does take a long time to dry the dishes. We load half of our semi-wet dishes and it takes more than 40 minutes to dry them. It does not generate high-temperature air. I would say luke warm air.Hopefully with more usage that the heat generator would be hotter and dry the dishes quicker.We posted the review on YouTube. Just search for "Sunpentown Dish Dryer".[...]

The media could not be loaded. I’m already inlove with this product. The video shows the 1st time using it. It ran for about 25 minutes and the plastic cover feels warm, my baby bottles feel warm and the bottles were all dry. Will give an update few months from now. This item is huge tho. Worth the money i paid for.
