I didn't like the monitor at first for a few reasons: -took up too much desk space -screen would come too close to my face -can definitely notice pixels So I ordered an MSI alternative, after seeing that, I decided to keep this and it has really grown on me. Once you use a curved screen, it's really hard to go back to flat screens. The main reason is the ability to thoroughly adjust the colors, which you can't do on every monitor. And for the price point, the amount of features available on this monitor is unparalleled. The only improvement I could say is 4k, which would be the G7 I suppose...

What a great smart gaming monitor, I wanted to buy TV for ps5 , but this monitor can use to play gaming PC & PS5 with high resolution up to 4k, no words can describe how good this monitor with fantastic color quality and great design, really recommended to buy

Very good build & quality, lots of features ... Bought it for my gaming setup & turned out to be a full smart screen with brilliant resolution, happy to select this model for such a reasonable price.

I have been heavily into monitors and after using a LG gl850 and it dying on me I wished to purchase a upgrade. And boy oh boy is this one. The monitor is a beast. Clean. I think there are a few things to say here. The curve - some people will like it and some will hate it. Just like marmite. I thought initially I would hate it however as soon as received it I loved it. The curve does not bother me in anyway and being that I'm in front of my screen all the time I barely even notice. Even when watching movies from afar it's great. Display - great however as stated above these monitors are prone to having scan lines. I have currently had two of these monitors and all I have had is scan lines on cyan colours and bright colours at the top left of my screen. However these do not appear when on a moving picture so I'll take it. You can try play the panel lottery of trying to find a panel without scanlines but that's up to you, how much time you wish to spend - hence the lottery. The colours are great and not as saturated as the lg high end gaming panels but honestly a beautiful clean panel. Now being that this is a VA panel there are some local dimming zones. This literally competes with current IPS panels. However one down fall is that when watching movies that are in different aspect ratios you will see that dimming not working properly on some of the zones and therefore giving a light bleed effect. As I said this monitor is a beast. But even a beast has its draw backs. Display however is amazing and with 240hz and crystal clear 1440p it's great. I have noticed some ghosting however so keep that in mind. Nothing major. The design. The stand is amazing. A proper cable tidying system built into the monitor stand, I love it as it allows for a clean set up. Keep in mind that the stand is big for this monitor so make sure you have enough room. The ambient lighting isn't distracting either. You have a choice of some colours however I stick with static red for mine due it matching my sennheiser set up. You'll get away with it not looking overly gamish. There is a small bezel around the monitor so if you're looking to dual monitor these it won't be completely seamless. Overall so far, I love this monitor. 240hz 1440p I can't go wrong. Even with its draw backs it's still the best you can buy and being that it's only competitor is Alienware with their 1440p 240hz IPS panel, at least these monitors are in stock and are cheaper. Pull the trigger and see if you like it. HDR and so on I have seen as being useless but that's not exactly my remit.

The Samsung G7 Odyssey is hands down the best monitor I have ever tried. Although it utilises a VA panel, the black smearing is non-existent, a real win for Samsung. "Adaptive Sync" (which covers both g-sync and free-sync) is excellent, with neither having and problems with flashing, stuttering or tearing. The refresh rate (if you can run that high) truly makes a difference in almost every game I have played, coupled with the low response times and input latence really make this an excellent choice for gaming. After a short period you also stop noticing the curve, it just feels incredibly immersive as you play. In terms of video, TV and movie watching, it really knocks it out of the park once again. The high contrast ratios pared with the almost perfect out-of-the-box coverage of sRGB colours makes watching anything on this monitor a real dream, with beautiful blacks and bright, popping colours. If I had to cherry-pick, and find something I didn't enjoy about this monitor, it would be it's HDR. With a rating of HDR600 I didn't really expect anything all that impressive, and I was right. Colours feel washed out and pale, brightness feels uniform, and the blacks are worse here than on sRGB. This is partly due to its backlighting and mediocre local dimming zones. My panel does have rather noticeable "backlight bleed" which can be distracting if staring at a black image. But I was playing fast paced, bright games, so I had no issues here. Overall this monitor is not the best in the world, it certainly has its issues, but if you can find this on sale down by £50-100, then I can hardly say no to you buying one. Excellent picture quality, refresh rate, colours, response times and ergonomics make this a great choice for the enthusiast gamer or content creator. Well done Samsung.

Have this for around a year now, I just love it... I thought the curve might be weird, but I don't notice it, using a flat monitor soon after looks like it's curving backwards 😂 It looks great, I've no issues, rarely it goes off and on soon after but I think it might be cable or PC side of things... I'm so happy using it everytime, it's so stylish and wraps around me.... Best VA 240hz 1440p curved monitor there is I think ... Nice blacks compared to IPS and good contrast... No ghosting, great quality... My brother also bought one and he loves it too...
