Unfortunately had to return this for a refund as I am hard of hearing and depend on sub-titles, which turned out to be in Dutch. My wife has better hearing but thought the audio quality of the dialogue was poor too - not easy to listen too. But that would not matter if you happen to be Dutch.

Keeps you entertaned

I love Kenneth More, an excellent actor and he does a fine job as the detective priest, well worth the viewing, but if you want a better version get the newest set starring Mark Williams

when i received this and watched the first episode i didnt know whether i would take to it,but as you go on it gets a lot better, i think it has something to do with kenneth moor in such a different roll than his norm, from reach for the sky to vicar, seemed a bit strange but its very watchable

Arrived on time and in good condition. Is a Netherlands DVD but you can easily choose English and then get the original voices. It's a very poor picture quality as it is an old TV series but of some interest -especially to identify now old actors when they were younger. Worth the money.

I have read one or two Father Brown stories, but that was long ago. I suppose, like many readers, I was prepared to be disappointed by a filmed version, but that was not the case. The dvd versions are superb.My disappointment did kick in, however, when navigating the menus on the discs, for they are not readily understandable. Oh, and the theme music ought to carry a health warning.

Father Brown! Need I say more I love it!
