Very nice guayabera. I ordered the navy (which is a very dark navy) in my husband’s usual size. It fit perfectly. With this color, it looks best with a dark t-shirt under it. The vertical decoration is not embroidery on top of the shirt, but a perforated trim.

Good material and the color green is perfect. My husband looked so handsome in it. He is big and tall and I had to return it for a larger size and it fit perfectly. Before ordering this item check first the size because it runs one size smaller.

This shirt is much better quality than I expected. Seems to be well made - definitely not cheap looking. I don't know how a few reviewers here can call this shirt lightweight - it just isn't. The fabric is heavy (like a winter shirt might be), which surprised me - for a shirt that is obviously meant for summer (based on design). The fit is good. (FYI - I'm 5'8", 163 lbs, 40" chest, 32" waist.) I usually wear MEDIUM, and ordered a MEDIUM in this shirt. Shoulders & chest fit great. Sleeves are little long, but I roll them up anyway, so that's no big deal. What I don't particularly like is how long the shirt is. Wish it were about 2" shorter. (Am hoping it might shrink up a bit, when washed.) Still - a nice shirt. Go with your normal size. UPDATED REVIEW: I originally gave this shirt a 4-star rating, but am knocking it down to a 3-star rating. Since my original review, I washed & dried this shirt (in the dryer) - and it came out fine. I actually was hoping it might shrink a bit (vertically), but it didn't. The shirt held up just fine - so no worries there, if you might be concerned. Came out of the dryer needing minimal ironing - which is a definite plus! So, the shirt is good - but... it all comes down to the fabric used. It's just plain heavy... You picture wearing this in the summer - on the beach, or at a picnic... something outside, maybe even tropical... I just wore it to a rooftop event (summer), and doubt I will ever wear this again. It was so HOT (and not in a good way). The shirt was hot - and boxy... no drape to the fabric... I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror at this event, and saw this shirt hanging off my shoulders - like a box. Not flattering at all. Also, the collar looks fine in the photos here, but when I saw myself in the mirror, the collar looked abnormally big... like a shirt from the 1970's. Not the look I was going after - and definitely not the heat-index I was aiming for. You might like the shirt - it really IS well made - just know in advance this shirt is warm - and boxy...
