Walter Isaacson: The Genius Biographies: Benjamin Franklin, Einstein, and Steve Jobs Paperback – November 7, 2017

These geniuses have a wealth of knowledge I’m already implementing to enrich my life. Isaacson does a stellar job and makes these 4 historic giants seem approachable and innately human. I can’t recommend these highly enough!

Isaacson does it again. After reading Leonardo Di Vinci, I purchased this set. I couldn't see why these particular biographies were a set until I read them. It seems brilliant innovators must be all bizarre personalities. Isaacson's spot-on analyses are unbiased but insightful. Great reads~

Great as expected byW. Isaacson. I am enjoying these books. I just finished two so far and two more to go.

What a gift to the world this box-set of biographies is! Each book is a treasure of information, an enjoyable ride through the life on an astonishing individual. Isaacson has the gift of writing in a way that's clear, concise but also detailed. He always seems to 'get' his subject, to really understand what drove them and made them the great person they were. The books are also handsomely produced, with nice paper, print and design, especially the volume on Leonardo.

I have only read the biography of Benjamin Franklin, one third of the collection. I am anticipating reading the other two books. One of the issues with a biography of some one long dead is the information must come from collected papers and previously published books since no one is alive to give direct input to the project. The author in my opinion has assembled a balanced biography; both the good and sides of Franklin are discussed. Also, the man is discussed in the context of the times which were complex.I especially valued the discussion of the politics of the times and feel I have gained useful knowledge of the history that formed the North American countries.

This is a high quality set / printings that is now at the stage of being "re-gifted" among family and friends so others can enjoy. Books and Franklin, Jobs, and Einstein all got good marks. DaVinci book was said to be overly complicated / difficult to read because much of it included his detailed notes and scribblings, which were apparently difficult to integrate with the rest of the story at points. So if you're looking for a gift set for the holidys to share with family members who like to read, I think you won't go wrong with this. Heck one or more books might even make their way back to you eventually.

Walter Isaacson writes in such a way that it feels as though you’re witnessing the subject’s life first hand. It’s hard for me to comprehend how much time he puts into theses books but he makes every second worth it. Although these books are about other people, one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is from Isaacson’s dedication to telling someone’s story in a truthful and honorable way.

All of these volumes are quite informative and interesting. Amazing writing! Mr. Isaacson really knows how to pull a reader into the stories. Thank you for these compelling truths and insights.Patricia Catoe

Beautiful Box Set. I read Steve Jobs first and what a fantastic book. Walter Issacson is a excellent writer. I learned so many small details of Jobs life and I to crew to accept him for who he was. I found I was very sad at the end. Jobs will be missed. I recommend this book set.
