Great baby “beach chair” or “pool chair”
I was looking for a breathable, easy to clean, water proof and compact option to bring to the beach and pool for my 1 month old during the summer. I’ve been baby wearing him but the heat was making it uncomfortable for him. Being against my chest limited the breeze getting to him. We have a great cabana for shade but I needed something that wouldn’t trap the heat, would be easy to wash off sand with the hose, and folds up similar to our beach chairs so that it’s easy to store and travel with. This was an amazing choice. The fabric is thin and breathes well while also being soft and secure. The head rest is soft and again light so it doesn’t keep heat. I was able to rinse it in the showers before leaving so none of the sand came home with us. It’s easy to fold up which makes packing up with 2 kids perfect. It’s size is perfect for a small baby, has a base that keeps them up off the ground and out of the sand or away from puddles on the concrete from my toddler splashing around in the pool. Added bonus that it’s super cute to have my newborn sitting next to us in his own little chair.

I've Used Tons of Tubs & Still Came Back to this One
Is this really for newborns? Not really. And the reason I say that is because, like other reviewers mentioned the seat is TIGHT. Which means little give. But wait. Just because it isn't perfect for a newborn does not mean it isn't great for a two month old fatty who is 12 pounds and 23 inches long, because it totally is!!!I have two children, and with my first, we actually used a Summer Infant that looked just like this, but the seat did have more give than this one, and I used it from newborn until she was about two months old then had to switch. The reason? Back on the old one's the adjustable part was more under the child seats, and when their weight got to be too much it actually caused the mesh seat to dip too low, and the plastic would dig into my child. She started crying when she got a bath, and she used to love her baths, so after investigating, I realized what was wrong, and ended up purchasing a large Angelcare bath seat, which worked fine. Now that I have my second child, someone bought us the First Year's tub with newborn sling. I thought that was the coolest thing ever, and would really work for a newborn, which it does nicely...but it had two problems. One is it's size! That thing took up over half the kids tub! And when you're trying to bath a four year old, and your infant daughter at the same time, it is not fun. My older daughter had no room to move or play so I was rushing to get the newborn clean, then I'd take her out, and have to manhandle the tub as it's heavy due to water pouring in, and take it completely out of the tub so my daughter can have room. Then I felt it was time to take the sling out as she was almost two months, and getting too long for it besides trying to turn over already. So I took the sling out, and tried using the infant bather as is, but the hump in the bottom where the baby's privates sit on to prevent them from sliding down is horrible! You don't have access to clean their privates easily due to the hump, and it also squishes that area, and my daughter kept crying as I know it wasn't comfortable for her. So I went online to order another Angelcare tub when I came across the Summer Infant again. This time around they changed the design, and I went ahead and ordered it, remembering how much I had previously liked it except for that plastic piece. And luckily for us, they did change the design! This seat is now travel ready, or can be stowed easily when not in use! Being that we use this daily, I'm not going to constantly fold it down, but the option is there. When you open it up, it pops open in three easy steps. Pull the top back, and click into place (does take a little bit of force to make the grooves fit), then press the adjustable bottom piece into one of the three grooves in the lower green plastic piece section. Again, this does require a bit of force to pop it in, but it's easy to get it back out as you press the green tab in the middle sticking up back, and you're able to slide the adjustable piece out. The next step is pushing the bottom seat part back until it also clicks into place. That's it! It's ready to go!The mesh is tight, I'm not going to lie. So tight, that if you don't have a weighty child, then I can easily see them pushed up versus settling into the mesh. There is a small mesh side area that I'm assuming is to help keep infants from rolling out, but it's laughable. There's also a semi padded head area to keep your little one's head in place while you bath them. Again kind of laughable if you're talking about a newborn. The padded piece kind of feels like more air in there than anything else. The only other feature this has is a small piece of mesh underneath the seat that also helps hold your child up for added protection from drooping due to weight. This seat is also super, super light. But it is a little hard to get all the pieces out of the grooves for easy fold up, so if you are wanting to take this places, just remember you will have to use a little bit of force to fold it up. We actually go visit my mother a lot who lives close to us, so this is perfect for me in case I do want to go over in the evenings, and give the kids a bath there instead of a late bath at home. A few reviewers stated that it slides all over the tub, and it does, but having had one already I was expecting it. For the old one I actually used an inside rubber tub mat, as I knew I was going to need it in the future when my child was old enough to sit up on her own. So I had that, and used it on top of it so it didn't slide. This time around, mom is a little more crafty, and as soon as I got home from work, I plugged in the glue gun, and used it around the bottom of the seat all the way around. Bam! Instant rubber liner. I plopped it in the tub, and sure enough it worked great! No sliding at all!In actual use, it worked fine for my two month old! I'm able to wash her fully, and I'm not feeling like I'm wasting water as her sister gets in there with her. And her older sister loves the seat as it doesn't take up all the room in the tub, and it's sooo much easier for me to take out versus the First Year tub as well as being smaller and lighter than the Angelcare seat.

Sturdy and Comfortable Bath Seat, but Folding Could Be Easier
I recently purchased this portable bath seat for my 16wk old LO, and overall, I’m very pleased with it. The instructions are clear and concise although I didn’t even need to look at them for assembly. The metal and plastic frame of the seat is impressively sturdy, giving me confidence in its durability and safety. The seat fabric is soft and comfortable, almost like a very tightly wound mesh, which my baby seems to enjoy during bath time. If you’re worried about the plastic base slipping around, use a bath mat or a couple of burping cloths underneath, which I used without issue. The only issue I have is that it’s somewhat challenging to fold back up after use, not the most convenient for quick storage when you have a LO who needs your attention. The footrest portion is the difficult part, as you’re supposed to be able to squeeze the two sides to release it from the locking mechanism, but it is impossible for one person to do. However unlatching the reclining portion is easy and that allows you to make it somewhat flatter for storage. If you’re like me, you’ll leave it in the bath to dry and use within the next day or two so no real biggie!Despite that minor inconvenience, we’re loving it so far! I think this bath seat is best suited for bigger babies under 20lbs, which is the weight limit. So like 12–20lbs. This is because of the tightness of the seats fabric, as other reviewers have pointed out. My babe is 14lbs, for her it provides great support and stability. I highly recommend it for its quality and comfort!

Tried and true!
After 3 kids, this is my go-to bath item every time. I love the cute pattern of this baby bather! The cover comes off easily to be able to wash in the washing machine. It's lightweight and foldability is perfect for small spaces. Much more convenient to use in my opinion than a bulky tub. The rubber grips make it sturdy enough for a wiggly baby. The mesh material dries pretty fast. I like to hang it up on the towel rack when we're through. Overall, I'd say it's well worth the price.

Feels/look pretty cheap but works
Good for taking to the beach or using in a shower. It doesn’t seem extremely sturdy so I’d always be within arms reach while using the product. I do love that it folds up very compact for storage.
