Brilliant simple design, solid study construction and easy to clean
Superb bit of kit. I bought this along with a garlic slicer. I have to say this is a great bit of design, simple, solid construction and easy to clean. I use it every day and it takes seconds to use.The heavy duty Perspex material they have used is hard wearing so this should last many years.

Much better than the old style crushers
I saw these last year at the good food show and regretted not buying one. Hence my purchase on here a little pricey but well worth it.My old garlic press used to drive me mad as there was always garlic left in it that didn't get crushed and was a nightmare to clean all the holes. This is so easy I tend to cut my garlic cloves in halve and pop them in , a couple of turns and its done. They had a tiny spatula at the good food shop which was perfect for scraping out the garlic as some bits do tend to get stuck round the teeth but usually manage with a teaspoon of knife. Washing it is great just rinse it under the tap or pop in in the dishwasher and its ready to go again, I love it.Definitely recommended to anyone using the old style crushers.

Fabulous little gadget
I have been looking for a new garlic press /mincer for a while when I came across Garlic Twist. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a go. And I wasn't disappointed. Garlic was minced quickly, effortlessly.Garlic Twist is very easy to clean. Just a dream for those who love to use garlic in cooking but not very good with knife skills. Highly recommended addition to any kitchen!

A liberating kitchen gadget!
It's not the cheapest kitchen gadget, but you can't put a price on how helpful it is - and yes, it really does work.I was spending an infuriatingly long time slicing garlic cloves - in 3 dimensions! - to achieve little cubes that you need for a whole variety of dishes. It was also dangerous as with even a sharp ceramic knife, I'd often slip - and the semi-chopped garlic clove would spread out everywhere, resulting in big uneven pieces. So - using the Twist: I chop the cloves into 3 pieces to make it easier, drop them either side of the teeth, clamp the lid on top, and begin to turn it back and forth while squeezing down. I will admit - the first moments are a bit awkward, and you will hear some scary crunching sounds as if the plastic teeth are snapping off. But it's OK really, and within a few twists the garlic is already almost done. You need to pay attention that your twists actually have the top and bottom teeth passing through each other - that's what does the crushing. Then, as in the pictures on the packaging, you do a few half-twists so that the teeth *don't* pass each other - and you've ended up with a little 'bow tie' of garlic inside the bottom half. You can keep crushing to whatever consistency you want, including 'mush'. I was worried it might be too mushy for stir frying, but it's absolutely fine. I'd say you can crush up to 3 average cut-up cloves comfortably. I also use it to crush spring onions (again, cut up).Yes, you do lose some garlic, and have to pick some bits out with the tip of a knife - but it's just such a liberating experience after the awfulness of trying to chop up hard, slippery cloves - one by one! - that it doesn't matter. I then rinse mine quickly to avoid garlic drying and sticking. A few wipes with a soapy sponge, and that's all.I would definitely recommend this product, although despite the large grips I think it may still be a bit difficult for someone with weak hands or grip problems such as arthritis because you do have to squeeze and twist with some force to start with.

Love it
Didn't think I'd like it as mine was obviously returned by someone else who didn't wash it after use, but I gave it a try whole thinking I'd be returning it. SuRPRISE. I Love it. So easy to ise, SOooo easy to use. Quick, efficient and Compact . Way neater than the mess I make with my knife on cutting board method and neater than the rolling garlic press I also bought. It's a keeper.

Don't go breakin' my arms
Oh, garlic twist, where have you been all my life? This thing is so cool. You smash the garlic, you twist the garlic, you use the garlic. The end.No more fuss with the skin, kill your hands and give yourself a headache trying to crush the clove in a press, waste half because it's stuck in the press, the fight to clean it out of all the little holes, all the while swearing to never use garlic again.I gave up on using fresh garlic years ago because of all that and switched to jarred stuff. But now I'm back to using fresh garlic because it's finally easy to do. Wish I'd discovered this gadget years ago.The pros:- surprisingly strong- super easy to use (and no pain to my hands or head)- virtually no waste- easy to clean (but garlic smell might linger a bit)The cons:- using one very small clove or too many regular ones (more than 3?) doesn't work very well- all the garlic doesn't always go into those cute little triangles but the tip of a small spoon usually gets the rest easily enough

Just what I needed!
Works well! I now use all the garlic when I buy it... Rather than letting some spoil! This works well!
