I bought one for my elderly mother, so she could phone us, she just can't get the hang of cordless phones anymore :(I tested it on a few calls from parents house, and the sound quality is not good at all, it's quiet, and difficult to hear the caller. I wouldn't buy another one for this reason. The build is good and it looks nice, but that's all. It really is no comparison to the similar style phones of old...

Retro Love!
I love my retro phone, it doesn't need a power socket, just plugs into the phone line so no wasting electricity. I've had no problems with volume on the handset, calls are clear and the ring is as loud as I remember it from when I was a kid!The cord is on the left hand side but I believe that's because all the phones that were in use in the 70s were the right hand side ones and these are the ones left over! No real issue though once you get used to it!

IT Has The WOW Factor.
I am really pleased with this phone, it is a good weight, good quality, and a lovely vibrant red colour.On calling a customers services company one day, they stated, press 1 for or press 2 for ect ect, and i thought oh no you need buttons to do this, i,m glad to say i did,nt , it does that as well.Everyone who has seen it has also commented what a lovely phone.

Faulty
Lasted 2 weeks before it went down with a very loud continual piercing tone everytime I picked up the receiver, the thing failed to get a line after that. The replacement lasted all of 4 weeks before the same problem kicked in. We use it as an ornament now, can't be bothered with the hassle. Stick to the tried and tested.

Retro heaven
After reading some previous reviews i was wondering about the quality of the phone. I needent have worried, nice weight, feels solidly built. The rotation dial takes some getting use to but beats the otber phones with push buttons. Only had a month or so,so not sure of staying power, having bought & had given no end of portable phones that dont last a year im sure it can't be worse.

Isn't this the coolest phone of the moment? It work just fine for anything, simply you can't take it around so you have to have your paperwork handy when you make one of these 0800 calls.

Mother loved it!!!!!
I bought this telephone for my Mum, who was always moaning about the modern one she had. She absolutely loves it!!!Best Christmas present ever!Although not as robust as the originals were, this phone is sturdy with a loud ring - in the original style. It was easy to put together and looks just like the original design.I ordered it very much on the last minute for Christmas, but delivery was extremely prompt, arriving 2 days before the date due.
