Seriously, when have you ever seen a piano bench with a brand name featured prominently on it? -1 star for that. The "Starfavor" gold lettering on one side is not a decal and can't be easily removed. I thought long and hard before ordering because of this, but could not find another bench that had the same features - adjustability, good-looking/feeling adjustment knobs (a lot had cheap-looking knurled plastic knobs), velvet fabric seat. I'm happy with the quality of the bench, packaging and ease of assembly. In my setup, the "loud and proud" Starfavor brand name faces the piano, but is still visible as I walk into the room. Oh well, maybe I'll learn to ignore it. Note to piano bench makers - No one needs to see your brand name on the bench - even if it's Steinway.

I was surprised at the quality of the bench. The wood is solid; weighty and without blemishes. It was very easy to put together and use. Looks great! Definitely fits the bill.

I've been playing piano sitting on a pork pie drum seat for way too long. Decided it was time for a real bench. The quality, fit and finish, on this actually surprised me. I can't speak to comfort just yet cause I'm still getting used to it from years on a stool but I'm sure it will be fine.Only concern is that the adjustability creates a gap between the cushion platform and the base. I could see fingers getting caught in that if the mechanism failed at the wrong time, but that's just my 'what can go wrong' psychosis kicking in.

I did a lot of looking on line for a piano bench. This one seemed pretty good, and the price was reasonable, especially after comparing prices in local music stores. I assembled this bench in about fifteen minutes - the steps are simple. It is basically four screws, but the top should be loosened a bit beforehand, and the washers and nuts have to be placed in a particular order, and then carefully tightened so the lock washer can do its work, which requires a little eyeballing to make sure the washer actually flattens out. I would have given this bench five stars, but I was a little surprised that the seat itself is covered with a clear plastic. It doesn't affect the bench - it is still comfortable. And it probably makes the bench easy to clean up. But you need to be OK with that look. I am.

Love this bench! Super easy to put together! Very good quality- seat is suede and wood is very nice. Love that’ it’s adjustable too.VERY happy with this bench!
