window 8 is hard for me for me to get my head around
I like the table and thought it would be great as it has windows 8 on but I could not download apps to I sent it back. I like things simple and this was not it for although I do use the latest Samsung tablet with no problems. if u are good with windows 8 you will be okay. I sent it back and had no problems from the seller.

Really good for the price
managed to pick this up for under £200 due to a few scratches (which turned out to be tiny and barely visible) and am extremely happy.Managed to upgrade the version of windows8 to windows8.1 with no charge or hastle.Runs very smooth in anything I have tried to do so far.Battery seemed to last me over a week on first charge but that was only short browsing sessions here or there, I am yet to test it on long journeys so I hope the battery is up for that challenge
Couldn't use the calendar,, contacts list etc since it wanted me to register on the Microsoft website; when I followed the kept getting an error message that there was a problems with the security certificate for the website!! Even when I enterd false details in the subsequent website it still wouldn't register!! Also no windows access code was provided with the tablet; then when I contacted Amazon Warehouse for the access code they couldn't provide it!! The only good thing was getting a refund promptly!!In short DO NOT BUY THIS TABLET UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!

Beware the 'Full Windows 8 PC Experience' claim
Beware the claim that this product "Delivers a full Windows 8-based PC experience" - it doesn't.It runs Windows RT, which will not run any Windows software you might already own, not even Office. It comes with a Windows RT edition of Office pre-installed, which is nice, but does not include Outlook. There are separate Mail, Calendar and People (contacts) apps, but they do not add up to what you might expect of Outlook.That's not to say that it isn't a fine tablet, if you are looking for something different from an iPad or one of the many Android offerings. I cannot comment on it other than to alert you to the misleading claim because I do not own one of these devices. I would probably buy one, but I already have a Microsoft Surface RT, which is fabulous and I love it dearly.The only reason I have provided a rating is because I had to in order to post this message.

Almost a cigar
I'm giving this 4 stars purely because Windows RT lets it down.The tab itself is a quality item that feels good to use and is a pleasure to own. Mine also came with the Samsung Ativ Book Cover which is a great accessory.I wanted a Windows compatible tab rather than Android because I want to be able to use and edit Word documents and PowerPoint presentations whilst out and about. I've never found laptops to be truly portable because their traditional HDDs are too vulnerable. This Tab certainly meets this demand.After several hours of utter frustration trying to set up my various email accounts in the default email client (which is rubbish, thanks Windows RT) I'm generally happy with the overall package. Beware, the email client can only handle IMAP and NOT pop3.So the Ativ has covered all my bases and even the Office lite does what I need it to and as a bonus it can save documents as PDFs.The big drawback is RT! The App Store is rubbish and most of the apps are too.If I could only get Firefox on it instead of IE I'd give this machine 5 stars.

Excellent for professionals and students on the go.
Absolutely adore this tablet. Handy because it has all the Microsoft Office applications on I need to do my work with. This tablet is ideal for professionals and students. It also looks good and feels nice to hold. I personally don't mind Windows RT, if you are not a fan of it then this tablet might not be for you.
