Finished house is beautiful
The media could not be loaded. This diy miniature house was very frustrating to build but the results are beautiful and make up for the difficulties I encountered. Some of the instructions were difficult to follow and there were parts (like putting the roof on and fitting the wire door hinges) that I found incredibly difficult. It hasn’t put me off doing these in the future but I’m not sure I would be able to say that if this was my first project.I found double sided tape very useful and I used a clear quick drying glue and gorilla superglue. The cakes and other items that are included are great quality and very realistic.

Hard to build
I am a model maker , have been all my life , the instructions for this kit are abysmal the worse I’ve ever come across. I am working my way through the build right now and cursing all the way , bought this as a present for my wife who loves shops , of course , it is utilising all of my skills and of course it doesn’t tell you this but You will need wood glue( I use gorilla) a hot glue gun a very sharp knife ( I use a scalpel ) a sharp pair of scissors a roll of masking tape to hold things whilst drying and a set square , at the end of this build I can see it will be a lovely shop so if you fancy a challenge go for it I am sure it is worth it in the end

Good quality
This is the first project like this we have done and my result isn’t perfect but it is possible to achieve a pretty pleasing scene. My children like helping, but it is definitely an adults job to put it together. The materials are actually quite well made and I have not come across any broken or badly cut pieces. I was a bit worried that the introductions would be badly translated and and hard to understand, but every single step has a little photo with it and very clear numbering of what parts to use, so it is reasonable easy to follow if you are good with fiddly little bits (or make the best of it if you aren’t, like me). I would recommend decking yourself out with a lot of superglue (ideally some precision ones and some with a brush) and you will need some kind of sharp blade/carpet knife and a pair of tweezers.

Not an easy job
This is a serious test for someone who does not have enough patience. Some parts are defective. There are also warped pieces, some of which need to be replaced with homemade ones. The end result, however, is wonderful.

Lovely
This was delivered in good time and in good condition. I think it will take a long time for me to complete as it is the first time I have done one of these. You will need a lot of patience as it is very fiddly and there are no clear instructions. I am using PVA and superglue. I have completed some of the furniture and it looks really good, a bit rustic but that is my lack of skills and incompetence with superglue !. I think it will look very good when it is finished as everything you see in the picture is included. You will need scissors, tweezers, and craft knives as some things need to be trimmed and cut out. It will be a long but fulfilling project, good for the winter months ahead !.

Wooden pieces are not cut accurately.
This looks wonderful to make, unfortunately some of the instructions are not very clear and a lot of the wooden pieces are cut very inaccurately; the end of B2 was cut off too short and didn't fit the top of the cake stand properly. The door didn't fit the space very well, and the wooden piece at the top had to be cut in order to put the top on with the shop sign. Luckily, I have been making miniature houses for many years and I was able to 'adapt' some of the pieces. Also it isn't really clear what scale it is: it isn't 1/24th scale and doesn't really fit 1.12th scale either. I am still making the item, and will finish it, but am not too impressed as I have now made at least 12 houses and shops which have been very successful.

Exactly what I needed.
Lots of tiny parts that you have to concentrate completely on. All good quality pieces and materials. For my first try at dioramas this was perfect. Instructions are good and anything that I didn't understand I found a good video with a google search. I used tacky glue but on some parts PVA glue was stronger. It helps to have tweezers with bent tips, sharp scissors, pencil, masking tape to hold things together while the glue sets, ruler, cutting mat and tissue to wipe your hands.
