Outstanding Product
This MagVent dryer vent is absolutely incredible. Our laundry area is in a small closet, so trying to line up and reconnect the dryer hose to the vent was always difficult. Even lined up well, the fit wasn't great, so we had a lot of dryer lint. A lot. Cleaning behind the dryer isn't fun anyway, but hanging over the back of it was tough. When I saw the MagVent dryer vent in a handyman magazine, I called MagVent to ask which product would work best for our tiny closet. They were so helpful. Once installed, I was hoping for even a little improvement with the MagVent , so I was completely amazed at the results. It is so easy to reconnect the hose to the vent because the magnet is so strong, which is great. Plus, there is no lint anywhere now. It's incredible that something this easy to install can make such a difference. It really is an outstanding product.

Never Not Using These
This is something I didn't know I wanted until I had it. It works great and makes dealing with cleaning the vents a breeze. Never having to mess with those stupid worm gear clamps makes this a no brainer going forward.

Excellent well made product. Worth the price.
I live in a rural area. My dryer vent from the back of my machine went basically into a hole on the floor. It was jimmy rigged to stay, and also allowed my little mouse friends to come and go all winter. Trust me even with a closing vent outside, they have always figured out how to get in.I installed this in five minutes and it is a strong secure but easy on off venture for cleaning the dryer vent. No hassling with the screw dryer etc. It's all metal and the magnets are strong but not too strong to make it too hard to take off when needed, and this is coming from a petite under five foot female. I do not want to struggle with my washer and dryer!I personally did not need to mount to the floor as the bottom fit securely to work in the vent hole.I don't write reviews unless I love something on Amazon. This product is sturdy and good craftmanship and you will have it beyond the life of your current appliance

Nice invention for quick disconnect of dryer vent
I received the wrong item. Due to time restrictions, I could not send the unit back and wait for another to be shipped. They make several types of this one. I ordered the MV-FLEX and I received the MV-180, which is a lot different. All that being said, I was able to modify my installation and get it to work. Other than the wrong shipped item, it works really well and I would highly recommend that you give it a look if you have a W/D installation that is tight, where the dryer vent is hard to reach for connection.

I’ve needed this.
The media could not be loaded. I’ve removed my dryer a few times to clean behind it, clean the vent, and most recently to get to the washer under the stacked units. Each time, reinstalling the vent pipe and getting it secure in the limited space has been a big pain.Seeing the MagVent looked like it would solve the problem, and it sure has!Mounting the wall plate to the exit vent was easy. Just needed metal shears to cut the existing vent and fold up against the wall and put the wall plate in, securing it with the 4 provided wallboard anchors and screws.Using the old vent pipe, trimmed and installed it on the other end of the MagVent (see photo and video), then secured to to the dryer, using the supplied hose clamp. To seal the connection, used aluminum tape to prevent air leaks.Once dryer was stacked back on the washer, first the brackets to hold the units were reattached. Easy with the dryer stilled pulled out a few inches. Pushing the washer/dryer back, the vent hookup was a snap. I had left a string looped around the MagVent, so it could be raised and aligned with the wall plate. Once you get it close enough, the magnets take over and pull the two parts together. And like that, you are done!

This product can work in very tight spaces.
Our dryer hookup was a mess. The dryer was in a very tight space where you could only pull it out forward to get access to the rear and vent, not from either side. The dryer's vent did not line up with the in-wall vent and the in-wall vent was left at an angle to the wall, not even flat. Also the dryer's vent attachment was very short, only about an inch and smooth, even tightly screwed on clamps could slide off with the slightest tug. Trying to connect the transition vent and push the dryer back into place became a many hour job and with compression of the dryer vent. I decided to try the mag-Vent Flex. I would up using about a 14" piece of flexible dryer vent connected from the dryer to the Mag Vent. For the wall installation, I needed to remove out some drywall both below and above my existing vent to be able to install a new 90 degree dryer vent elbow. Now, since the hole in the wall was present, I could either repair the drywall or make a template piece to put over the opening. I chose to cut a piece of 1/2" thick MDF to fit over the opening of the drywall and cut a 4" hole for the dryer vent to poke through. I used a round over bit to make the MDF look nice, gave it a quick coat of primer and attached it to the wall, putting caulking around the opening in the wall to seal up the wall and dryer vent. A few drywall screws held in in place. Next, I cut slots into the dryer vent with a tin snips like the Mag Vent instructions illustrate, screwed in place the Mag Vent clip holder and inserted the mag Vent wall piece. At this point, the MDF and Mag Vent wall piece add about 1" to the original drywall surface. Now I used a piece of string around the dryer duct as illustrated in the instructions and slid the dryer into place, guiding the Mag Vent and it made an effortless seal with the magnets. My duct was not crimped to any degree and my dryer in about 1-2" out front of the washer with the washer pushed all the way close to the wall. A big improvement! Now, I think that if I pull the dryer out from the wall, most likely the Mag Vent connection will be stronger than the duct attachment to my dryer, but I blame this on LG. Thank you Mag Vent for a great solution!
