This stuff works! When my buddy Jack had bloodwork before recommended dental surgery, the vet called to tell me that they could not do the procedure and that he was “in the throws of kidney failure”. I was told by my vet to make my 16 year old cat as comfortable as possible until it was time. He was losing weight, not eating. I added Fortiflo & Kidney Gold to his diet, helped some, not much. Switched to all wet food, ‘feed him whatever he will eat’. I add a tablespoon of water or bone broth for cats to it for the extra fluid. When I added AminAvast to his food 29 days ago, within a week I was seeing small changes. As of today he is eating at almost normal levels for a cat his age, & gaining some of that weight back. He seems comfortable, perkier and looks more like his pre-kidney disease self. We had taken our neutered male cat, Smokey, to our veterinarian two months prior to ordering AminAvast because he had been throwing up between 3-5 times daily, seemed to be drinking water all of the time, and had begun losing weight. My husband's ex-wife had rescued him, as an adult cat, from an animal shelter around 15 years ago. She was unsure of his age then, but we adopted him from her nearly 10 years back when she could no longer care for him, so we know that he is, at very least, 16 years old. He recently developed a mass on his back paw and cyst-like lumps in several places on his body, so we asked our vet if those things could possibly be related to his vomiting. So, I immediately logged into Amazon and placed my order, not really knowing what to expect. The bottle arrived two days later and I gave Smokey his first dose mixed into a little canned food. He didn't turn his nose up at it, which he usually does with all medications, so it must not have a distasteful odor or flavor. After a few days, he was still vomiting a lot, but some customers warned that it had taken a couple of months for them to really notice a change. We didn't have to wait that long. After only 4 DAYS of being on AminAvast, Smokey has completely stopped throwing up, he is drinking regular amounts of water, he's got that old confidence back and he's even started putting a little weight back on. I'm on the second bottle of Aminavast for my 16 year old kitty. Two months ago she was down 15% in her weight. Her creatine measured 3.9, and she was getting obsessive about drinking water. I started putting a capsule of Aminavast on her wet food in the morning and evening (for two capsules a day) and today she is a new kitty. She has gained all the weight back. Her fur is demonstrably beautiful. And her water intake has been cut in half, indicating her kidneys are retaining water rather than just passing it all out as fast as she can drink it. I haven't taken her to the vet to have her creatine measured, but for her age she is showing no signs of anything being wrong. She is even running and playing in the morning like her age has been cut in half. She also has no problem consuming the powder mixed in her food. In fact, she seems to prefer the taste when Aminavast has been added rather than when served her wet food alone. I'm writing this review in case it can provide help for others whose dear cat is experiencing problems. It has done wonders for our cat. I got a host of other things to try along with Aminavast, but she is doing so well with the Aminavast alone, I quit adding the other products. It's hard to image our cat doing better than she is now, for her age. Hope this works for others as I know how stressful and sad it is when one's precious cat is experiencing problems. It is heartbreaking because we love them so.
