1. To prolong the life of your entrance mat, we recommend placing it in a sheltered area such as under an overhang, awning or porch where it will be shielded from the weather. If your mat gets wet, turn it over to let water drain out and then let it dry in the sun. 2. Because shedding of the fibers is a natural part of any coir doormat, we recommend thoroughly shaking the mat before first using it. You can also expect some minor shedding over the life of the mat. Use a brush, vacuum or shake the mat to remove excess fiber and keep it looking fresh.
