I have not got to use my new deep cut blades yet because I did not read the description carefully which, says clearly it does not come with the housing needed. My bad for sure, you have to purchase the black housing separately to use these blades. I'm sure the blades are great & all but, I did however deduct a star because it seems like a lot of the other deep cut blades come with the housing for about the same price. So, when I find the black housing on sale or reasonably priced & actually get to use the blades, I will update my review.

These blades are direct replacements for the Cricut deep-cut system. I am unable to tell these blades apart from the Cricut brand blades that came with the deep-cut system/blade holder that I use on my Cricut.These blades come in a nice little holder. Each blade has a rubber cap that protects the sharp part of the blade.I've pictured the new blades next to the adapter and the original blades. I used the deep cut blades to cut through some heavy cardstock and they worked exactly as expected. Very clean-cut.As I was putting the blades away, I lost track of which were which, they are that similar.So far so good. The listed price was very reasonable when compared to the OEM brand.I am very happy with these blades.

Cricut accessories are expensive. The Ovan deep cut replacement blades are pretty comparable to the brand name. This blade is great for thick cardstock and thicker vinyl. These blades are very sharp and tiny, so be careful when removing them from the package or removing the protective cap. They will fit in the standard housing on your Cricut machine or you could order a new housing if needed. I have a Cricut Explore air 2, and it fits my unit. I like that these are compatible with multiple units since we plan to upgrade in the near future.

Everyone knows if you are a constant user of your Cricut machine, the blades eventually become dull or you don't even have a certain blade, the housing that comes with your Cricut machine that holds these blades allows you to change them out for different or new types of these blades, from basic blade to deep cut or whichever blade is needed for a particular material. These blades are compatible with black deep point housing, which will cut thicker materials being they are made of German tungsten steel, they cut cleaner and should last longer. I'm very pleased with these blades.

Love that I can just buy a replacement blade instead of an entire new cartridge!
