I have A LOT of thick hair, curly, just past my shoulders. Regular clips never fit all my hair - the sides are falling or it’s really tight in one spot and barely holding in another. Not these!! These hold all my hair with ease! I can finally do messy clip updos! Even the flower ones hold so much hair!

If you actually have thick hair and it’s close to your shoulders or longer in length, these clips will NOT hold all your hair. I have long thick hair, like a horse’s tail. I was so excited to find clips that might actually hold all of it up. And then to get them and have them not work? What a disappointment! These have so many stars too. I assume the other thick-haired girlies are just buying clips somewhere else or maybe we’re the few who are making up the negative reviews on here. Just call them what they are…they’re big clips. They’re nice big clips, they’re pretty, they work, but they’re definitely NOT for thick hair.**So I wrote this negative review, originally giving 2 stars. The seller read it and reached out to me, apologizing that the product didn’t work for me. They offered me a full refund. Talk about amazing customer service! A seller that actually reads their reviews to see how they can improve? I’m so impressed. I had to come on and change my rating. It absolutely blew me away. Thank you for your great customer service. THESE CLIPS ARE SOOOOO AMAZING!!! i’m literally obsessed over them, and there AMAZING! there comfortable, don’t tug on your hair, huge so it can hold a lot of hair at once, and has great quality clips so it stays in like forever! the colors are really cute and they go with almost everything, WISH I COULD RATE THIS HIGHER!!! (the pack comes with 8 but my friend has one bc even SHES OBSESSED)

I was skeptical when I saw these touted on social media, but they are the BEST LARGE CLAW CLIPS I'VE EVER OWNED! I started using this style of clip back in the late 90s because I have very thick, wavy-in-a-crazy-way hair. I'm not good at styling my hair, and wearing it up in any kind of bun or pony tail is painful because of the weight, so these types of clips are perfect. However, finding one that could actually contain and hold my hair was no small feat. So many of the ones I'd find were laughably small, and too many of the large ones had weak springs that were no match for my hair. Occasionally I'd find a winner, but after a short while the teeth would start to break, eventually leaving none in the middle and I'd have to start my search for a new one. In recent years it's become harder and harder to find large enough clips in the stores, and I was always wary of buying online because I couldn't test the strength of the spring before purchasing. I finally found one at a local beauty store, but sure enough the teeth started to break off almost immediately. Then I saw these featured on one of those "best Amazon products" lists that go around and the reviews from thick-haired girls like me were promising, plus the price was right for a 4-pack, so I took the chance. When they arrived, I was immediately unsure, because they are smaller than most of the ones I've had in the past. But to my surprise, THEY WORK, and not only that, they work BETTER than the rest I've owned. I often had to adjust the others every few hours, but these hold tight with no little bits of hair slipping out. I think maybe it's because they have these little spikes on the inside that help to grip. And while they are smaller than expected, the way they are shaped seems to allow more space for my hair than the larger ones, surprisingly. Also, the plastic isn't as rigid/brittle as my past ones, so I've worn these almost daily for over 3 months and not a single tooth has broken! I didn't think that was possible! The only downside I've found is that the matte finish has started to wear off, especially at the tips of the teeth, but the plastic underneath is the same color as far as I've noticed, so it's not that obvious and when I'm wearing the clip, the teeth are hidden in my hair anyhow. I will overlook the finish issues for the great clip performance. (I will say I'm skeptical of the shiny metal versions - those look like the "bad" stiffer plastic that my old clips were made of - but the matte black/beige/pink/green pack is what I bought and they are my favorite clips ever.) And even though I'm about to do my usual fall hair cut that will make my hair too short for these til spring, I'm about to order more (turquoise/blue/yellow/red) so I have them next summer.TL:DR: Best hair clips ever, even for my impossible-to-hold thick, wavy hair. Give them a try!

Love these claw clips so much! I use them every day. This is my second purchase because the matte coating does wear off eventually. Great value, though. Can’t recommend these highly enough!

I have thinning hair, unfortunately, but these are so strong and grippy, they keep my hair up. If I had thick hair, they would do the same. Love these!

Love them, they are a good size and colours are nice. Although they took months to arrive and 1 was broken in half. So only 3 are usable which is pretty annoying.

Good product! I've bought a few claw clips before that have broken or haven't been strong enough to hold up my hair. I've been using these for about a week and they've held up so far. Nothing in the package was broken - although I have seen a few reviews of people with theirs a bit damaged when they arrive. Colours are super cute too - I do recommend!

The claw clips are good! They grip my long hair very well and no strand of hair slips out of its grip!
