JJC Auto Focus (AF) Extension Tube with TTL Exposure for Close-up Image Photography for Micro Four Thirds Mount (M4/3) Mirrorless Cameras (10mm/16mm Set)

Bought for the Fuji X-T20. First thing, these fit the Fuji X series very snugly, no issues at all. They feel like a quality item. Other reviewers have expressed a few problems but I can see they are all Canon or Nikon owners. Lets be honest this will be down to the quality of the camera bodies. Fujifilm cameras are beautifully made so perhaps this is why they fit so well. Let me say I do not have an interest in photographing insects but I do love everyday items in detail. So I am experimenting here. First day, indoors, poor light. Exposure cranked up to +3, 50mm prime lens wide open at F2.0 Aperture. First image is the Sennheiser head phones (small). Note the 'SENN' and PX90 text is in focus the rest just drops away in to creamy dreaminess. 2nd pic, 16mm adaptor, 50mm F2.0, sharp central detail of the top of my X70, again surrounded by massive bokeh. Last image bottle top, using my 18 - 135 lens, F3.5 with 16mm + 11mm adaptor, this has a better spread of detail. Please note unlike a £1,000 + Macro lens you CAN'T use this adaptor on the camera and expect to take normal photos. These adaptors turns your camera into a Macro only machine. However, they don't take up hardly any space in your camera bag so you can put them on quickly whenever you feel like getting up close. At £29 these were just an amazing buy and great fun to experiment with. Hope this helps those who might want to see if macro is for them without spending a fortune. .

These work fine on my X-T4,but for occasional use only as the mount is plastic. Care is needed with heavier lenses. Good value if used sensibly.

Nicely made and totally compatible and functional. Use on CanonR5 with 26mm 1.4 lens

So I decided to buy this to go with my 50mm F2.5 macro lens. The results are better than expected. When shooting macro I find it much easier to use manual focus with such a shallow depth of focus field, so can’t say about autofocus abilities. All in all a great little buy.

I already had the Fujifilm 11mm extension tube, so I thought I'd try a third party product to increase the flexibility of my set-up. The build quality is pretty much what you might expect for the price - plasticky, with only one of the mounts metal. Autofocus and exposure were fine, but the big let down was the fit. As soon as I took them out of the box it was obvious there was noticeable 'wiggle' when the tubes were attached to each other, and this also was obvious when they were mounted between body and lens. The wiggle was so pronounced that occasionally electronic contact between lens and body was lost. I have returned them and bought a used Fujifilm 16mm tube. The build quality is far superior (as you would expect). When both are attached together there is no wiggle, and only very slight wiggle when mounted between lens and body. I think the extra cost was worth it. I would like to add how much I enjoyed repetitive use of the word 'wiggle' :-)

While extension tubes will never be as good as a proper macro lens, I was incredibly impressed with the quality of these tubes for the price.Using them with my Leica 12-60mm allows me to focus much closer to subjects than before, allowing me to get some super close-up cinematic shots for my short films.For £30 I thought this was an absolute steal, honestly.

M43 ringsExt rings are a great, and cheap way of getting into macro photography but they do have limitations.For those of you who are new to using ext rings the first thing you need to be aware of is whilst they allow your lens to get closer to your subject it will no longer focus to infinity. In fact, it's restricted to a fairly tight range of distance from the subject. The longer the rings, then the closer you can focus but the range in which you can focus gets shorter. For example, if your minimum focal distance of your lens is 90cm, an 11mm ring may allow focusing between 30cm to 70cm from the subject and a 16mm ring may be 20cm to 40cm.Using both rings may get you as close as 20cm but then won't work beyond 25-30cm. These are purely examples and it will vary from lens to lens. Therefore, ext rings work best when your subject is still and you can easily adjust the distance between the camera and subject. I've found manual focus produces better results than auto focus and zoom lenses allow a bit more room for manoeuvre as you can make small adjustments by zooming in and out.So, back to the rings.These ext rings fit nice and snugly together without any noticeable looseness. They seem well made and come with a case. I can't fault what comes in the box.However, I like to take macro shots of insects which means I mainly use auto focus and although my camera said the image was in focus, the result was actually quite soft.I also found they wouldn't work at all with my Panasonic 14-45 at all and I could only use either the 11mm or 16mm, not both together with a couple of other lenses.This is no fault of the ext rings but a general problem with some lenses as they aren't designed to be used at macro ranges.Sadly, I returned my set due to these incompatibility issues and will need to buy a dedicated macro lens.Regardless, they are excellent value for money and give them a go and enjoy the benefits of macro photography.

Took this shot on a Canon R50 using these extension tubes and a 28-45mm lens. Tubes fit perfectly and are easy to use. Had trouble getting my camera setting right to begin with. If you have trouble… get really close to your subject and switch to servo capture mode. that worked for me.
