See it more like a toy...
Are you using plastic knives?Look - I bought it, just to try to make sausages and don’t spend a fortune. So eventually I used it... and it is meh.First of all: kudos - it was not at all breaking, despite all the force you have to add to stuff the sausage. However:• It is free standing, it doesn’t “suck to the surface” - which makes it very difficult to put the casing on.• With the force you are applying, sausage meat is actually coming out of any seam. Not joking - it doesn’t come only out of the hose, but all nooks and crannies. It would be funny, if you are not so exhausted of “pressing”.• Look - I am an almost 300 pounds guy - but I had issues to press the piston down to stuff the sausage. It is incredible exhaustive and doesn’t really work much. For about 700 grams of sausage it took me about 45 minutes to have a reasonable result.• The hoses are not suitable. Look - the hoses are in this rough plastic, which seems to be a smart choice - but it isn’t. It is difficult to put the casings on the horns - and then it is sometimes sticking and not easily coming off.So overall - I am impressed, that this thing didn’t break. But overall - it doesn’t make your life much easier as you are using a “homemade” solution. If it would cost a quarter of the price, it wouldn’t be an issue - but at this price, invest more and get a machine or a manual stuffer, which has “no direct action”.
