Great book I bought it a few years ago and still regularly use as a source of reference 👍

Once you've got your head around these things, these books are very dreary. That is not to say that I thought this when I bought this book years ago. There's a legal commentary which is actually a lot better, but that's out of print. This was the best one following that one though. The main point is that no one ever sticks to the NEC on NEC contracts, so in one way, it is all a waste of study. That is not to say that the NEC is a bad contract, but the education level of those who manage most of the government jobs, which use the NEC, is not there, and those who manage it on private jobs, take the clauses out, to make it like and ICE or JC Works, which they were used to. You won't be sorry you bought it. I didn't give it 5 stars for no reason.

It explains the clauses but I feel it is a bit all over the place in its set up.

Exactly what I was after

This book is definately worth the high price. Very readable explaining each clause of the contract in clear english. Being a newcomer to the NEC3 suite of contracts I found this book to be very helpful.
