Great book!Hoping hal leonard will do others books with the American songbook played in jazz.

Ich habe das Notenbuch vor allen Dingen wegen "My Favorite Things" von Dave Brubeck und den Titeln von Hank Jones und Red Garland gekauft. Somit hat sich der Kauf für mich sehr gelohnt! Die Transkriptionen sind gut spielbar. Die meisten der anderen Stücke sind für mein häusliches Klavierspiel nicht wirklich brauchbar. Die Transkriptionen sind überwiegend von Trioaufnahmen, die entsprechend dünnstimmig in der Begleitung sind. Z.B. spielt nach dem Intro von Oscar Peterson's "Younger Than Springtime" erst einmal der Bass die Melodie, welcher aber leider nicht abgedruckt ist. Wem wie mir ein paar Titel ins Auge gesprungen sind, wird sicherlich sehr zufrieden sein! Da stimmt dann bei 17,50 trotzdem das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

You can plainly see that often there is an indication that there are 34 measures of rest, during which the other instruments are playing. In other words, none of these arrangements work as piano solos. What's more, the arrangements here for piano are for extremely competent jazz players.
