Bought a similar 'cheap' version and it lasted all of 20 seconds before exploding!This is in a different league.. You get what you pay for and as this was for our boat, you need reliability and so far it has proved outstanding.One thing I didn't expect was that if you leave bot ends open when you disconnect, the contraction of the hose as it springs back releases just about every drop of water from the hose, so didn't have to spend time blowing water through it before stowing back on the boat.Brilliant piece of kit and worth those extra pounds

Upon receipt of this hose, it leaked from the connector from the tube to the head. The seller gave me advice to swap out the rubber seal and the issue was fixed. This is why the hose is marked down to 4 stars, as it should not have left the factory with this defect. However, now its leak free, it is wonderful. It looks neat and tidy on the wall (I bought an Xhose Storage Hook to go with this) and it genuinely does expand and contract as advertised. It therefore is slim on the wall but extends all the way to the end of the garden, and genuinely does not get kinks in it! For the price I cannot recommend this highly enough. Its easy to use, looks great in your garden and the variable head settings allow for a range of uses including washing your car, BBQ or windows as well as sprinkling delecate flowers and watering sturdy ones and trees.

This product was a great idea but for me it was hopeless in use. It sprung leaks in the hose very early on. I found that I needed to turn my garden tap on full to get the hose to expand to its full length and that was not always what was needed. Regulating the flow was almost impossible if I wanted the full length of the hose. Then the plastic trigger broke. Within 2 weeks it was in bits and binned. Shame really. The size saving seemed such a fantastic idea. It may be useful for a small garden area though the quality of the product was not great. Maybe I was unlucky however I would not buy again.

What a great idea! After being frustrated for years by regular hoses, and their tendency to kink and accumulate cobwebs and dirt, this is a revelation. It is very small and compact (easy to curl up and hang on the wall), expands when the tap turns on, and has a great "shower" type head with multiple settings and plain English descriptions of what they do. Using the hose has turned from a hassle to a pleasure in one easy swoop!

We ended up giving our one away, it did not work in our house, we bought so many different attachments for it to see if we could get it attached to our taps and each one was no good, ended up spending a small fortune to try to get it working! Plus make sure you have very very good water pressure as it did not expand either but we never managed to get it properly attached so we were fighting a losing battle. I am sure it is a great product but be warned it is not for all taps and make sure your water pressure is amazing!

Fantastic hose. Absolutely brilliant. When I first took it out the box I was totally disappointed as it looked way shorter than 50ft and I was hoping to use it from the tap in the laundry room as we have no external tap. I was wrong. The thing must have expanded 10 times when I attached it and it filled with water. It expands so much that the crinkles entirely disappear and you're left with.. well, a super long, straight hose!The only thing I can say against it is that due to the pressure expanding it, it exerts a lot of pressure at the tap end, meaning that if - like mine - your internal tap is loose fitted (not cemented into the wall) it will pull it about a bit.The spray gun leaked a little from the connector at first but I unplugged it (for god's sake, turn off the tap valve and hold the spray trigger to empty the hose first as I imagine you'd get a heck of a fright if you didn't! The pressure is immense!) and tightened the threaded connector and the leak vanished.All in all, I'd buy it again for sure. Maybe even the longer version seeing how compact it is when empty. Honestly, the box it comes in is so small I thought it must have been the wrong product.

This product was even better than I had expected. It was replacing one of those plastic hoses which look like a coiled spring and which I had thought adequate until it finally split. The Wonderhose gives a far more powerful jet and the 50' is much better than my old 100' one, it reaches further, is lighter and easily stowed when in use.Pampered Gardens, the supplier has a useful video on its website and when I had a problem registering my guarantee, because I had bought the hose via Amazon and not direct from the company, an email explaining this was promptly answered and the guarantee registered. A good company to deal with.

I waited two months before writing this review - the reason - I had bought two hoses from other sellers, one cheap the other dearer and both failed several times. So I bought one of these hoses by Pampered Gardens and it failed the first time it was used and I returned it. So why have I given it 4 stars? I took fright and did not want to risk buying another for fear of failure but after a month, I took the bull by the horns and order the same hose again. It is Good. The quality of the hose is exceptionally good with compressed ferrules holding the tubing to the fittings. It does what is says and I expect it to last longer than the guarantee.
