Our recently acquired Labrador has had a pretty heavy moult which has gone on for some time and we have purchased a number of brushes and combs during the past few months. This brush really works. It has a handle to make grooming easier and is pretty robust in its design. What really works for us though is that it has a button which, when engaged, lowers the fine wire bristles and locks them in place. When the brush head is full, simply push the button once again - the bristles retract leaving the hairs in a neat felt-like mat which you simply dispose of. There is none of the usual business which you get with other implements when you then have to de-moult the brush as well. The labrador hairs are quite fine but this brush also works well on the longer, coarser fur of our two golden retrievers as well. How would I rate this? Value for money - pretty good. Ease of use - very easy to use and to keep clean. Would I recommend this brush to others? Definitely, yes.

The round, light green button on the handle operates a very simple and yet ingenious mechanism for releasing everything that the brush picks up. But take note - it's not a 'brush' in the usual sense of the word ! Instead of bristles, as I was half expecting, there are hundreds of what could be likened to long paper staples - and yes, they are quite sharp, so be warned. To be honest, I didn't buy it for a dog or cat - and having now seen it close up, I would hesitate to use it on either, but then again, I'm not a qualified 'pet groomer' but just be aware that the business end should be handled with care. I bought this as an experiment to be tried on a king size sheepskin mattress cover - it goes under the bottom sheet. I've had it for several years and the fleece has curled up. This gadget is very easy to use and is very effective - in fact, for my purpose, it was too effective, and the release mechanism had to be used repeatedly, every few minutes, but having said that, if it was used on a pet, it would make the job of grooming much easier than using a 'normal' brush - a quick press of the button and within five seconds you're ready to go again.

Our short haired terrier sheds clumps, which find their way all over the carpets and furniture. She doesn’t like them being pulled out, so bought this after reading the reviews. The bristles are metal, and our wimpy dog just doesn’t like being brushed with it. When we do manage to use it on her, it works well, and with the retracting head, makes cleaning a doddle. We will continue to “attack” her with it, but not the answer to our problems. Now if the bristles were plastic, it would probably be better.

I have just used this for the first time. My dogs are a cross of German Shepherd and Golden Retriever, very thick coats! I've had dogs for as long as I can remember and this is the easiest brush I've used. For long haired dogs it is great as the self cleaning element works perfectly speeding up the process. I'm not sure of build quality as a few of the wire points have twisted after one use but other that I'm very happy.

The product is a great idea , it's so easy to clean and after reading all the reviews I was excited to be receiving a brush help me maintain a tangle free coat. The prongs are quite harsh and I have a cockapoo who doesn't really enjoy being brushed but she really hated this to the point she whimpered no.matter how gentle I was so I can't use it on her. On dog that's more laid back about grooming though I think it would be great. I have only given 3 stars because for us personally it doesn't work but I'm sure it will be fantastic for others.

I have 2 British Blue Shorthair cats and they love this brush. They get really excited and run over to me when I show them. I get so much fur off them (more than other brushes I have previously used). I would highly recommend and it does not hurt them. Very easy to remove the fur as well. Just a click of a button, so you don't waste time teasing the hair out the bristle. Love this brush wish I bought it years ago.

At long last a brush that can be used on our Cavachon with her for ever matted coat. Trimmed her coat right down to get rid of the matting and now use this brush to hopefully keep it that way. It brushes without getting caught in her coat or scratching her skin and then hey presto how easy it is to clean by just depressing the button on the handle and the brush retracts and wipe away the fur. Brilliant, would recommend it.

This is brilliant. My dog is moulting like mad and so many hairs being removed. Love the fact you just press a button and the hairs automatically come off the brush. Very glad I bought this

bella spazzola adatta per il mio pastore australiano che, se non spazzolato costantemente, lascia peli per tutta la casa. ha setole lunghe che permettono di raggiungere anche il sottopelo, ma allo stesso tempo sono morbide e non danno fastidio o irritano la pelle del cane. grande invenzione il fatto che basta premere il pulsante dopo l'uso e le setole si ritraggono lasciando tutti i peli in un gomitolo pronto per essere buttato.

Bastante practico la unica pega es que con el uso se empiezan a doblar un poco las puas pero sigue haciendo su función y quita bastante pelo, lo recomiendo. Mi perra es de pelo corto medio

Das Einzige, was bei der Bürste funktioniert, ist die Reinigung durch die einziehbaren Drähte. Dadurch, dass diese kein abgebogenes Ende habe wie die meisten anderen Bürsten tut es dem Hund einfach nur weh! Und richtig Haare raus zu bürsten geht auch nicht wirklich viel, geschweige denn effektiv!

Ich wollte die Bürste für meinen Hund benutzen aber viel zu grob ,zu scharf.Ich hab Angst dem Hund weh zu tun
