Very useful, not sure how long they'll last!
We needed these as our local council still uses open topped recycling boxes. They seem just fine and do the job of keeping the contents both dry and in place during high winds. The elasticated edging keeps them nicely in place and they tie to the box handle. Our waste has to be put out the previous evening.Although the quality is ok for what we need, I'm not too sure how well they'll stand up to the refuse men taking the covers off to unload the contents!! Time will tell, but not too expensive to replace.

Recycling Box Green Covers
Excellent way to protect tins and glass etc going to Council reycling in bins not provided with lids any more; stops young inquisitive children and pets (especially assitance dog pups) from danger

Does the job but not much craftsmanship.
Not the most attractive finish to the product, in fact the stitching around the elastic aged edges a look Stevie Wonder had a bash at it ...but that being said, it does the job and keeps the recycling dry.

Exactly what we needed to keep recycling dry (otherwise it goes into landfill)

Cheaper alternative to recycle box lids but they don't last too long when used outside.
Our council recycle boxes are kept outside against a wall. Fed up with the regular lifting of soaking wet cardboard/paper stuck to the bottom of the box, I bought these covers. On delivery, I was surprised just how crinkled they were but they fit the recycling boxes ok with enough overlap and edge stretch to keep the covers in place even on very windy days. For an extra secure fit, the edge band can be tied to one of the side handles, still allowing access to the box by lifting the other end of the cover. However, after only 10 months of being used outside partially exposed to the elements, the covers are now fraying at the corners and the waterproofing has started to wear off so that they now leak after heavy rain.
