Q: do the non-black cases show discoloring/staining over time?

I have the smokey pink one.....been using it a little over a month now. It looks brand new & has been great so far!

Q: Does anyone know if a pop socket will stick to this case?

Yup. The back is a little bit textured but my pop socket sticks on quite well. I had to mount it a little lower than I normally would becuase otherwise the rim around the camera area would be in the way of my index finger when using the pop socket. I centered the pop socket between the TUDIA logo and the edge of the camera ring and it feels pretty comfy.

Q: Does it protect camera?

The only camera protection is the 0.08" raised lip. It protects that area when u set down the phone on a flat surface. Otherwise anything smaller could damage the glass. There are glass screen protectors u can get for the camera glass.
