ZvezdaZ6116 - Model Aircraft - Messerschmitt German Fighter Bf 109 F-2

Zvezda have built a strong reputation with their diverse range of kits. This is no exception. As you would expect with a kit in this scale the number of parts is limited. The detail however belies this. Assembly can be completed quickly leaving scope to finish the model with the kit supplied decals or, if you want some variety, use one of the wide range of alternative schemes available from aftermarket suppliers.I’d recommend this kit to anyone who needs one in their collection.

I bought this to be used for Flames of War, the strategy game. There are rules for several air units but for some there are no models yet. A plastic model in the scale 1:144 is accepted though. Still, these kits are a bit hard to come by, so i jumped to it as soon as I saw them. This plastic kit is excellent. Landing gear and propeller are very thin and detailed, so I can't really see how anyone thinks of this as being a toy. But for a collector or an enthisiast this is very good. And as for the price - unbeatable!

This model is snap together and good to go and can be used as part of the ART OF TACTIC expandable game, in reality it does take a little filing and cutting to fit together but you get a real neat little model, I went to town on it giving it a Battle of Britain paint scheme even though its a later model, I will buy another two.
