As elusive as it is bohemian, the character of true absinthe has inspired countless alchemical works of art, poetry, and film since its inception centuries ago. Our absinthe chocolate is crafted according to the original recipes from European historical literature, with Grand Wormwood, Star Anise, Sweet Fennel, Melissa (Lemon Balm), Mugwort, and Hyssop. We have labored extensively to find the purest, unadulterated essential oils of these incredible plants to give you the fullest bouquet of flavor & aroma. As such, only the high notes and aromatics are infused into the chocolate, which contribute a crisp, intoxicating flavor. All of our organic vegan chocolate bars are crafted with care & integrity in Oakland, California using ethically traded, unroasted heirloom cacao, coconut mylk, and coconut sugar (a low-glycemic whole food sweetener). Very Rich!
This is a very RICH dark chocolate bar so its an acquired taste for lovers of milk chocolate. You can definitely taste the hint of absinthe and mugwort which creates a flavor combination. I would suggest this for chocolate lovers, but its not very sweet. Its a great treat for vegan eaters who have difficulty finding great snacks.

Rich indulgent chocolate flavored with Absinthe
I love the balanced flavor of chocolate and Absinthe. With other Absinthe flavored candies you get a potent kick from the black licorice but not with this one. If I could find it in a local store I wold be in there probably every week.
