How I hate holidays after a life time of living and working out of couple of bags! Work assignments could involve 4 commercial flights + a helicopter lift just to get to the vessel. Some hotels in security sensitive countries also have luggage searches before you enter to check-in! On average I take 20 to 40 flights a year. Invariably X-Rays won't be good enough to identify all the equipment required each assignment. Using these transparent cases prevents a lot of questions (in foriegn language) as well as saving a lot of time as the security guard won't have to open the zips, then leaving you to re-pack. I was just flying Newcastle to London Heathrow at the end of last job when the airport X Ray attendant needed me to use 5, yes, five, trays for their X-Ray machine. Laptop, Samsung tablet, phones, Kindle, chargers, cameras, electro IR forehead thermometer, ambient IR thermometer, noise meter, ..... including steel toe boots, and passports, anything with a micro-chip. Good thing these were in this see-through cases plus Osprey see-through wash bags. Imagine having to repack all these gadgets if they weren't not encased in transparent material; nightmare.Dimensions given were not quite correct. Mine is 19cm long, 9 cm high, and only 7cm width. However, still given it 4 stars due to other features I wanted. Zip made of nylon teeth (less metal to tigger the metal detecting wand). The fabric is very transparent and of a decent pliable flexibility. Cheaper material would be more brittle (thus less longevity).Update 2021.09.20Since buying the first one in 2020 I have purchased two more on separate occasions. The second and 3rd purchases have been disappointments because the material is not soft flexible as the first one and the prices have gone up. Downgrade to 3 stars as compared to the first case bought in 2020. Maybe OK for kids and their pencils but for customers wanting equipment protection I have bought Tenba as well as Lowe Pro packs. These are also available on Amazon, have transparent faces on one or two sides depended on model, have elastic loops or velcro sections to hold items in place. The added features means they cost more but the material will last much longer.

My friend purchased this for her daughter for sixth form, she was very pleased with it.

Advertised as an extra large pencil case but when it arrived it was no bigger than one I can buy in the shop, making this very expensive for what it is. Aside from this, it does seem durable and fairly sturdy- although it’s still not gained it’s proper shape after being squashed into packaging. I wouldn’t buy this again because of the price but if it was cheaper it would be a great item.

Quite sturdy,too small from what I expected.

It's pretty standard and does its job just fine. Only issue I've found is that the pencil case never stays as a cuboid, even when I try to squash it down, it always springs back into this really flat shape.

Misleading photographs. It’s not large. So folded on arrival will probably never look right. Not worth £7 at all!
