Function over quality?
I tested them out by switching through the lights at first, I read through the instructions on how to use it properly and at the bottom it states “product may have a loose connection for charging from shipping so it recommends you screwing the two set screws 1 to 2 turns to push the charging port further out for charging cable can fully plug in. The charging port is super flimsy it’s like they are relying on one set screws pushing up against the board that is built inside the saber which ideally you would have to be super careful cause u could damage the board. It doesn’t tell you if it’s actually charged or if it’s charging. Lights look great feels sturdy on the exterior side and the sound is their but the internal parts lack quality. I returned mine the first day I got them they both worked at first but then one of them started flickering and then wouldn’t turn back on. If you purchase they will make a Great wall decoration but idk how long they will last I may have gotten unlucky with a bad one

Not a boring toy.
Gr8-grdson was introduced to this @about 11 months old. He continues to achieve successes with the shapes & sizes as he grows & practices. He likes the feel of a solid wood object & the colors vs plastic ones he has. Great for hand & eye coordination. I believe he'll enjoy for a long time ie several years.

Stopped charging after a while
Had the item for months now but less than a year, bought it in the springtime and it is November now. Liked them a lot and seemed to work just fine. I had not charged the lightsabers up in a bit, though, and went to do so earlier today after using the battery up a week or two ago. Neither blade would indicate charging at all. Neither would turn on after letting them sit on the cord for a while, regardless. Tried to contact the seller, but the chat on Amazon app said that was "unavailable" and they could give me a gift card for the order total. Definitely buyer beware, but you might still be able to get your money back in some way, even if it is a gift card.

Worked only a few hours - updated
One of the sabers simply stopped working after some time. The other one’s foil in the lamp arrived half damaged. Charging is very very slow: it needs more than 10 hours to charge the small capacity battery (approx. 600 mAh and the supplied cable allows charging by only 0.06 mAmps). Great dissappointment…update:I appreciated the seller's attitude after writing my review as they offered me to replace the foil, the unfunctioning lightsaber and the charger. Unfortunately, it didn't work out due to different circumstances. However, they gave me an approx. 80% refund. This is why the previous 1 star is changed to 4 stars.
