I needed a white cotton scarf for a project my daughter and I were planning to do as a Christmas gift for my mother in law. The name of this product, as well as the product description, states it is a cotton scarf. I waited quite a while for this scarf to arrive. When it finally did arrive I saw that the sticker on the plastic packaging containing the scarf stated it is cotton. But I could tell just by looking at it, even through the clear plastic packaging, that it wasn't 100% cotton. As I opened the plastic packaging, I commented to my husband that there's no way it was 100% cotton, it had to be at least 50% polyester. When I got it open, I found a manufacturer's tag on the scarf itself. It said the scarf is 100% POLYESTER. I am very disappointed and will be returning it. A polyester scarf simply won't work for what we are doing. I guess we'll have to hurry to find something else to make my mother-in-law as there is no time for me to try to find another scarf and get it here before our early Christmas celebration with her.Additionally, the edges of the scarf are completely unfinished. I could have gone to the fabric store and bought a couple of yards of knit polyester fabric and cut it into strips and had the same thing as this scarf. What a joke. This is by far the worst product I have ever purchased on Amazon.

I bought three of these because this description says that they are 100% COTTON. However when I opened the package the label clearly states 100% POLYESTER. Unacceptable. Garbage.

Disappointing--seems like a nice enough scarf but contrary to the description (which says cotton), the tag on the scarf says 100% polyester. I bought it for shibori tie-dyeing, so I have to return it.

This is a nice, lightweight scarf. The tag on the one I received does say "100% cotton" and it feels like cotton to me. I own a lot of scarves, maybe twenty or so, and the cotton ones do feel different than the rayon or other fabrics. I ordered the dark grey one and the color is exactly as pictured, which was a nice surprise, as often the colors are slightly different than what is shown on the screen. The shape is not your standard scarf shape: it is tapered at the ends, and looks more like a triangle than a square when laid out flat. I believe it is cut this way so you can wear it with both ends visible in front, as well as the more traditional way of one end in front and one in back. Some of the photos here do show this. The fabric is very thin, and a little scratchy, but the color is nice. I just deducted one star because the fabric isn't as soft as I would have hoped, but I still think it is a great value overall for under ten dollars.

Love it. Bought for the purpose of Shibori dyeing with natural indigo dye process. This linen took up the dye very well and was easy to handle for doing the shibori technique. It came out a beautiful deep indigo blue. It is a rectangle shape and does not have tapered ends.Quality -It is a looser weave, so if you are looking for a light weight scarf, this will work. Appears to be real linen.The ends are a frayed look and not serged. The ends have not been sewn to prevent unravelling, so wash and wear with care.Washing - I pre and post washed it during the dyeing process. I put it in a mesh lingerie bag for protection. Washed on cold in deep water cycle, so a normal fast speed spin out. Air dried on a rack.I have not worn it yet, so cannot speak to longevity of the fabric.Overall pleased with this product.

It’s no big deal for a polyester item to look stunning, to drape beautifully etc. etc. I honestly didn’t expect a 100% cotton shawl to do the just that. It adds graceful semi-sheer layer, a touch of warmth but it’s so lightweight, perfect for summer! I photographed it draped over the window to show the transparency and how it’s cut. The shape is not rectangular but rather parallelogram, i. e. instead of 4 straight angles/corners it had 2 acute and 2 obtuse ones, which allow it to drape so much better, prettier. I’m definitely going order more, in more colors, these would make great spring/summer gifts!

I bought several colors to protect my neck from the sun and they are perfect. Very lightweight, they provide great coverage but let air through so I never feel hot. Easy to clean—I toss them in a mesh laundry bag and wash with a cold water load, and then hang to dry (they air dry in about 30 minutes). Perfect for travel or at home. An excellent value for the price.

Hopefully folks read more recent posts since some older ones would've kept me away from this product. I received a black scarf, fulfilled by fashion4me. It was in a packaging with the name "alirina" printed on it. The scarf itself is 100% cotton and beautifully sheer, with angled ends, and very fine finished edges. I plan to try textile paints on the scarf but for now--it is perfectly what I ordered.
