A surprisingly good showing for LOTR going forward
Regarding the main package: The package arrived undamaged (though had some light soil for some reason but none of it stuck around). Two decks are included (I will review them later here but TLDR they both look rather playable for beginners but I wouldn't raid the closest tournament with them just yet) as well two identical boxes, and two different codes for online redemption (located at the backs of the decks). Regarding Hobbits (a review of the Green/White deck): So I was under the impression that this was going to be the Elven deck when I first ordered it but, with the heavy inclusion of Hobbits and food generating tokens, I believe now that this might be the Hobbit deck though with only Frodo rather than the Samwise/Frodo and Pippin/Mary pairs. If you were hoping that getting this pair would get you the duel 100-Card commander Hobbit deck then, unfortunately, this is not it my friends and without Bilbo Baggins, the ramping health gains will not have the pay off the 100-Card commander deck boasts. However, this is still a nice 60-Card deck to play with the other included deck, Armies of Mordor. Edit: Turns out the food ramping with this deck is not geared towards *Health* increase, but *Toughness* increase and it WORKS. After some testing I can comfidently say that Sauron has NOTHING on Second Breakfast. A View of Dark Tidings (a review of the black/red deck): The Armies of Mordor deck is definitely worth the pack and will certainly stand well compared to the Hobbit counterpart. However it might confuse new comers to the game due to the amass ability that is so prevalent in this deck. If you *do* happen to be as clueless about this mechanic as I was before I looked it up, here's the basics: If you don't have an army token, now you do and it gains a boost depending on the card that summoned it. If you already do, great, now it's even tougher and you're that much closer to bashing your opponent into wicked fertilizer. Pair this ability with the damaging spells, lands and creature abilities and you'll be making your opponents wish they had some Hobbit food to keep thier hopes of winning going. Other cards, such as Gollum, Scheming Guide and Witch-king, Bringer of Ruin, punish your opponent with every attack by removing creatures, dealing damage or giving you a chance to draw more cards offering good control options as well. TLDR: I'd recommend getting the Hobbit commander deck if you really want the food token exploits but Sauron stands strong on his own. Would recommend especially for the low price as of this review.

Great Commander deck straight out of the box
Great deck out of the box and pretty simple to pilot meaning it would be a great introduction to Commander. The deck can be upgraded very easily and cheaply too once you want to move on from the precon. The deck includes some very strong commander cards like Farseek, Birds of Paradise, Swords to Plowshare and Toxic Deluge. Highly recommended if you can pick up for retail!

Good cards
My husband and I love playing magic together. We run clean games and never have liked playing with people. Every magic group I've been apart of has been toxic in how they okay with each other and how they speak to each other. There is no excuse for this. So my husband and I got a few decks that were themed and I got the whole doctor who set for my birthday from a friend. My husband and I have about 4 other people that we trust to play magic with us. But most the time we're playing each other. These cards are a lot of fun. We never wanted to get into collecting and all that nonsense. I had several friends get mad at me for not sleeving my cards. I don't like the way the sleeves feel on my hands. I shuffle tarot cards constantly and having the pointy ends of the sleeves tearing up my hands. I would yell them I'm not playing to play professionally or to collect cards. My opinion if your collecting the cards don't use them. And if you play with someone. Don't assume their in it to collect or play professionally. Some people just want to play a game and a clean game at that. My husband and I love the lord of the rings set so much we bought 2 sets so we can each play what we want and how we want since my husband does sleeve his cards. Over all if your thinking about it and can afford it I would get the themed decks because their a lot more fun.

Good. There are a few things I wish were different.
It's nice to see playable pre-constructed decks of cards available at reasonable prices. Each of these decks is about $10, which is a sane price to pay for a deck. The commander decks are much more expensive (5 times and sometimes more). What I wish would have been different? • A sideboard for each deck would be nice (15 more cards...commons). • A plastic deck box large enough to hold all of the cards double sleeved. • A divider. • A list of all of the cards that are in each deck...perhaps it could be printed on the divider. • A name for each of the decks. (This wouldn't cost you a cent. I'll be calling mine "'Food and Fellowship Jr.' and 'The Hosts of Mordor Jr..') • A booklet for each describing each deck's strategy that's the size of a card and could be sleeved and included in the deck box. What else could have been added...but in my opinion is probably asking for too much? • Sleeves (It would be nice to be able to play it on the spot without another trip to the hobby shop.) • A life counter die (again...being able to play it immediately is nice). Some of this could be implemented without increasing the product price too much (not at all for some). Some though would push the price way too high to be practical. Still, it would be nice.

Noice
First magic deck, pretty excited and it actually cooks in a match. Needs some extra booster cards to up the effectiveness but otherwise easy to use deck. Came in great condition no resealing problems whatsoever.

If you are a Lord of the Rings and MTG fan, you cannot miss out on this amazing product. It blends the best of both worlds and makes you feel like you’re battling alongside the heroes of Middle Earth. Act quickly because this edition of MGT will not be on sale forever. It was only on store shelves for a few weeks and now you can only get these on Amazon. Act quickly before prices go up any further. Definitely a great collector or player item.

The deck is a very solid precon right out of the box. You don't *need* to upgrade anything to have fun with it and keep up with better bracket 3 decks. Though for not much money, you can definitely make some significant upgrades to some of the card slots and have a much better deck. And of course, with a lot more money, this deck can start to get really crazy. It's my only EDH deck, and I enjoy using it every time I play. It's pooular enough that there are a lot of videos and articles that give you good ideas for upgrades so you don't have to figure it out all on your own.
