Ergon SR Allroad Core Comp Men's Saddle – Ergonomic, Shock-Absorbing, for Road, Gravel, and Cyclocross

I am an older rider who is 6-2 and 235. I ride a mix of roads and non-technical trails on an all around bike. As you would expect, my riding posture is more upright than in my youth. After about 500 miles, the upgrade to the Ergon saddle seems to be a great move. I questioned the design at first glance; it is much wider than any saddle I've ever used before. That width, along with other design features, seems to be a game changer. The padding is firm, which is perfect in my view. The extra width (Large Size) is a perfect match for my sit bones. The male cut-out is barely noticeable, but I've experienced no issues with numbness or discomfort on 20-30 mile rides. I no longer agonize over every ounce for bike gear, but the saddle is fairly light. Build quality is quite good. I am hopeful this will be a long term solution for all my rides.

As a life long cyclist I can tell this saddle is very well made!! Quality is top notch. It didn’t fit my backside but that is all my rear and of no fault of this seat. It’s worth a try!!

Saddle fit is highly individual, so what works for me may not for you, however this is a very high quality saddle that fits me well. Ergon claims to have designed it to flex while riding, which it indeed does - providing a bit of suspension and eliminates the discomfort/pain point I had with another saddle.Lastly, this saddle does all the above without a weight penalty like other comfort saddles.
