Korala UKBB FE - 310–Bass Ukulele Flamed Okume Top Guitar with Rosewood Fingerboard Belcat Machine Head Fretless-Tuner

I bought this ‘cos, like lots of others, I couldn’t really afford the Kala. I read lots of reviews of other ‘budget Bass ukes’ and saw mixed opinions on things like build quality, intonation, relative string volumes etc. (a fairly long list), and so I expected to have to get my tools out for this one and do a little or a lot of tweaking... I’ve gotta say tho’ that I was immediately blown away by the quality of this instrument - just phenomenal for the price! Looks and sounds great (loads of deep bass tone), intonation and setup are also excellent. I’m a recording musician, and took a gamble on the ‘fretless’ element, because I could see that there are ‘ghost frets’ marked on the neck. I can slot the notes pretty well if I’m careful, plus also get those nice fretless slides - superb... :). I notice these have gone up a fair bit since the Christmas price, but still well worth it at £270!!

Better finish and sound than my Kala U-Bass.
