Kidizoom® Smart Watch DX Blue (2017 version)

My son loves this watch, he is four and he understands alone all the functions of it. He is very happy about the count down and the voice recorder :)Nice idea the photo camera but he started to be upset when he couldn't make a selfie :D.I wrote this review because I wanted to and nobody asked me to do that. I like to give my opinion on the items I buy and share it with other users. I hope it will be helpful to you and I will be happy to update my review if needed.

The watch came the next day after ordering so my lad was over the moon - as was I as he had been asking me every 5 mins when it was coming. He’s been very pleased with it and has busied himself with downloading a few apps and games and taking photos and videos. He loves the watch and I just hope it stands the test of time - but no reason why it shouldn’t - it seems to be well made and looks good too.

I can't fault the watch itself as kids love it. This is the second one which has been brought for family members. The only thing I would mark the item down for is the quality of the strap. The 'buckle tongue' or pin which fits into the strap holes is plastic and snapped after two days of wearing. Surely for such a price VTech could put a metal one on instead. VTech don't supply strap replacements either. In fairness the Amazon process for replacement has been first class, and one little boy will be very happy again within a couple of days.

Our grandson went crazy for this and spent all Christmas Day either taking photos and videos, or measuring his steps (just like daddy’s watch). He’s six years old and the watch easily fitted his small wrist. The touch screen works well and it took no time at all for our grandson to start finding his way around the menu and playing games, using the camera etc. It does need to be charged daily if it’s in constant use, but since it’s not really meant for wearing to bed it’s easily charged at night.

The below review is written by my 8-year old son.I like it because it has games to keep the younger one entertained.The trouble is that you can't download games (Roblox, Fortnite, PubG) like on phones (Ipads, iPhones) but I wish I could do it.It's a great model though.

I don't often write reviews, but thought this watch deserved one! My son has just turned 8, I was worried that this might watch may have been more suited to a younger audience... but this was his favorite christmas gift! It is sturdy, looks cool, has lot's of gimmicks to keep them occupied (great on car journey), it does come with a charger and the charge lasts about a day with heavy usage. We have yet to download apps as the games that are pre installed are still keeping him amused. recommend

Lovely watch for little ones. The touch screen It easy to use and it is good value for the price.

Rejected by my 4 year old after just 10 minutes. If your child is already into tablet games or using a phone to take pictures then this might not cut it for them. It was also quite large for a 4 year old wrist and he didn't find it comfortable to wear. The games are overly simplistic and the actual look of the graphics on the screen just aren't as good as what he is used to seeing on a tablet or phone app. Perhaps he'd have been more interested if this didn't arrive alongside all of the other Christmas presents!
