FoneBoy® Clip On Orchestra Reading Light for Music Stands 9 LED Lamp That is Battery or USB Mains Powered (Adapter Included)

I need a real good light to assist me on the road with my band. I think this could definitely be a great buy! It has two settings; bright and brighter, so I use the later most of the time. The crocodile-like clip seems robust enough and easily attaches on to my black orchestral stand. It takes standard sized AA batteries or you can plug it in to the mains. Be aware however that the unit can't be charged up. I quite foolishly assumed it was a choice of battery or an internally charged power pack so I duly plugged it into the wall at home, turned it on, saw the green light turn on, leave it a few hours, turn it off, get to gig, turn it on again.......Oh no!!!! Idiot Boy here failed to read the instructions. Now I almost always plug it in on stage to an extension lead nearby. Saves worrying about battery failure mid set. I tend to conclude many of my reviews of gear which I take on the road with a similar line; If it lasts then I will be well pleased.

This item is easy to fit and works well with a USB connection. The two levels of lighting work well and I get a nice spread of light on my sheet music.

A clip on reading lamp for music stands. The least in price of any battery operated versions I found. The light (2 levels of brightness) has a rather cold blue tinge but is perfectly satisfactory. One extra star for value for money.

The all-black light consists of a clip, flexible swan neck and light bar containing a strip of 9 LEDs.The base has a flat underside so can sit on a horizontal surface. It incorporates a clip with textured rubber facings to the jaws which provide useful grip as well as protection to the gripped surface. The spring is suitably strong. Beside the flexible neck outlet, there is a socket for the provided USB power lead which is two metres long; this would allow one to take power from a PC/laptop or, preferably from the provided 3-pin plug/transformer/USB-adaptor. Alternatively, three AA batteries (not included) can be housed within the base; the supplier suggests a battery life of up to 20 hours.The spiral-wound flexible neck is 29 cms long and has no trouble supporting the light-weight light bar. At the top of the neck is the push-switch which cycles Off - Low - Brighter - Off. Along the rear edge of the light bar is a rigid strip to reduce light being shone rearwards towards an audience. The light is a little blue in colouring and not dazzling. Square to a surface and at a range of 15cm, it casts an even pool of light measuring about 50 x 30cm. In use, however, it would be angled and so provides a greater area. Thus I think it perfectly adequate on the brighter setting to illuminate at least three A4 sheets of music.I'm always interested in mains power consumption: 0.1W lamp off; 0.7W low; 1.3W bright. So 48 hours at max brightness costs 1 pence; this light has Scrooge appeal!For ten pounds, delivered, this light is good value, particularly since it passes as the product of a competitor costing five times the price. The only differences that I am aware of are: it doesn't come with a carrying pouch or batteries, and the power lead is half the length. I'd rather buy this Foneboy lamp and keep the forty pounds.

I use a treadmill several times a day, two sessions are in the evening. The treadmill folds so it can be used in dining room. The dining room has a 3 lamp ceiling fitting. With cost of electric I thought I would try this clip on. Perfect is all I can say, it illuminates the control panel better than even when I did have the overhead 3 lights on. Two levels of brightness, I find the lower level just perfect.

I was very impressed with this lamp. It is sturdy, well made with good light output and even light spread.It represents very good value for money. Unfortunately the supplied mains power unit failed after a few minutes. Not thesuppliers fault and the important thing is how they deal with the problem. No problem, they supplied an excellent replacement so all is well.Overall then I think the lamp alone is worth 5 stars.

The light is great, I use it over my piano keyboard but the cable has failed already

Good sturdy product with very bright light setting & a dimmer setting, had it a few weeks, use it regularly & not changed batteries yet (it also come with a USB). The clip is very strong & good for holding music sheets.Really pleased I bought it.

Le falta un enchufe, que no sea inglés.

Streut das Licht breit, das der Notenständer gut ausgeleuchtet ist ohne zu blenden. Dank LED halten Nimm Akkus sehr lang.
